Como já disse aqui não sou monárquica, mas Portugal foi uma monarquia até 1910. Eu não renego a história do meu país, aliás, até tenho muito orgulho nela, mesmo quando governados por reis e rainhas. Muitos deles homens e mulheres de grande bravura que fizeram de Portugal a principal potência do mundo juntamente com Espanha (séc.XV). Eu até me pergunto, olhando para a actualidade do meu país, mas por onde andam os genes desta gente? Onde pára esta herança genética? É que os "Reis" que nos governam actualmente não passam de uns vassalos curvados e subservientes da banca e dos grandes interesses, muitas vezes obscuros. Actualmente em Portugal não vivemos em Democracia, mas numa Ditadura Fiscal cega, que confisca, despoja, esburga e espolia o seu povo. E é aqui que quero chegar!! Quero falar numa personalidade da história portuguesa que dedicou a sua vida à caridade e aos mais desfavorecidos, enfim... ao seu povo!! A Rainha Santa Isabel.
As I said

people !! The Queen St. Isabel.
Pela sua grande obra e legado é a Santa Padroeira da Cidade de
Coimbra que durante uma semana lhe presta homenagem, sendo que o dia 4
de Julho é o feriado da cidade, dia da sua memória. O povo em
agradecimento prestou-lhe culto tendo sido foi canonizada em 1625. Foi
criada uma Confraria - A Confraria da Rainha Santa Isabel - sendo esta
uma das mais antigas do país, organiza todas as cerimónias religiosas,
actos litúrgicos em sua memória. Esta Confraria conta com a participação
do povo anónimo, membros da família real, personalidades da
Universidade, políticos e importantes figuras da sociedade portuguesa.
Dando continuidade à sua obra social.

her great work and legacy is the patron saint of Coimbra
that pays tribute to her for a week, and the 4th of July is the city's
holiday, the day of her memory. The people in
gratitude worshipping her and she was canonized in 1625. A Confraternity was created -
The Confraternity of the Queen St. Isabel - this is one of the
oldest in the country, it organizes all religious ceremonies, liturgical

Um dos seus milagres mais conhecidos e, que eu já contei aqui, é o
Milagre das Rosas. Em que a Rainha Santa ao levar pão para os pobres o
transformou em rosas quando foi interpelada pelo seu marido. Durante a
Procissão há quem se vista de Rainha Santa desde adultos a crianças. Por
ter sido uma figura tão nobre nos seus actos também quis homenageá-la! E
tentei recriar uma Rainha Isabel dos tempos modernos, com este Kimono
bordado com rosas! O comércio local nas ruas por onde passa a procissão
recriam as suas montras em sua homenagem (mostro algumas nas fotos).

One of his most well-known miracles, and which I have already mentioned here, is the Miracle of the Roses. Hoje e, apesar de estar num jardim infantil, vou falar num assunto muito sério. Eu li sobre esse tema num blog e nem queria acreditar no que estava a ler!!!Sabem quando o que é virtual se confunde com a realidade? Pois é sobre isso que vou falar!! Eu li num blog que os miúdos e adultos andam todos a jogar um jogo, que pelo que percebi é da Playstation e que se chama GTA. Já ouviram falar? É um jogo para maior de 18 anos, mas a maioria dos jovens admite já ter jogado antes dessa idade. Sobre o que li, os jovens jogam esse jogo para aliviar o stress das aulas, dos exames, do trânsito caótico, o jogo serve, também, dizem, para descarregar frustrações. Mas como é esse jogo?

reality? That's what I'm going to talk about !! I read in a blog that the kids and adults are all playing a game, its from Playstation and is called GTA. Have you heard about it? It's a game for over 18, but most young people admit having played before that age. About
what I read, young people play this game to relieve the stress from school, exams, chaotic traffic, the game serves, they say, to
discharge frustrations. But how is this game?
Então é assim, tudo o que é ilegal, imoral, desde tráfico de drogas,
assassinatos, prostituição, conduzir a velocidades loucas e provocar a
polícia, atropelar pessoas no passeio, enfim... violência a rodos que eu
nem consigo imaginar... é possível!!! O que entendi foi, se tu estás
aborrecido, bora lá matar pessoas no GTA, se os teus pais te deram um
ralhete, bora lá matar pessoas com um motoserra e imaginar-se um grande
serial Killer e, mais grave que tudo, neste jogo toda esta violência não
é punida, mas premiada com estrelas, que são assim uma espécie de
troféu, quanto maior for a chacina ou a violência!!! Quando li aquele
post, nem queria acreditar no que estava a ler!!! A sério, tive que o
voltar a ler para ter a certeza!!!
So, all that is
illegal, immoral, from drug trafficking, murder, prostitution, driving
at crazy speeds and provoking the police, trampling people on the
sidewalk, anyway ... violence that I can not even imagine ... it's possible!!! What
I did was, if you're bored, kill people in the GTA, if your parents
annoy you, let's go to kill people with a chainsaw and imagine a
great serial killer and, more serious than anything, in this game all
this violence is not punished, but awarded with stars, which are thus a
kind of trophy, the greater the slaughter or violence !!! When I read that post, I didn't want to believe what I was reading !!! Seriously, I had to read it again to be sure !!!
E quanto aos comentários do post, houve pessoas que admitiram ter
jogado mas que não tinham gostado, mas a maioria adorava jogar o jogo,
vangloriavam-se dos seus assassinatos e riam muito!!! Que fixe que era
jogar aquela coisa!!! Não me contive, claro e, dei a minha opinião, disse
que nunca tinha ouvido falar naquele jogo, que o achava perigosíssimo e
que aquilo que eles diziam jogar acontecia realmente no nosso mundo!!! Um jovem sem estar com a sua personalidade ainda formada pode confundir
o mundo virtual com o real, pensar que a vida é como no jogo, que não
tem mal nenhum toda aquela violência gratuita, até porque nem é punida, e
sai porta fora, entra dentro de uma escola e desata a matar crianças,
não é isso que acontece nos EUA? Indiferente ao sofrimento dos outros
porque tudo não passa de um jogo!!!

A menina desse blog é estudante de enfermagem e respondeu-me dizendo
que ela sabia separar muito bem as duas realidades e que era uma cidadã
exemplar e já jogava o jogo desde os 12 anos!! E, eu perguntei-lhe se
ela poderia afirmar ou garantir que todos os casos eram como o dela!!!
Ela respondeu-me dizendo que não valia a pena os pais proibirem porque
se os jovens não jogassem em casa, jogavam na escola, que há conteúdos
igualmente violentos divulgados por youtubers, e que existe violência e
conteúdo tóxico por todo o lado, portanto os pais devem é ensinar os
seus filhos a distinguir a realidade da ficção. É por estas e por outras
que não tenho pena de não ter filhos, seria um enorme desgosto para mim
saber que um filho meu, jogava um jogo deste tipo, nem que fosse só
para descarregar o stress!!!

girl on this blog is a nursing student and she told me that she knew
how to separate the two realities very well and that she was an
exemplary citizen and had played the game since she was 12 !! And, I asked her if she could say or guarantee that all cases were like hers !!! She answered by saying that it was not worth the parents to forbid because
if young people didn't play at home, they played at school, there is

toxic content everywhere, so parents should teach their children to distinguish reality from fiction. It
is for these and others reasons that I don't feel sorry for not having
children, it would be a great disgust for me to know that a son of mine played a
game of this kind, even if it were only to relieve the stress !!!

personagem tão querida da Disney: a Minnie!!! Na Disney promovem-se os
valores da amizade, da partilha do respeito pelo próximo, da fantasia,
da entreajuda, um mundo onde a criatividade, os sonhos e a imaginação
imperam!! Eu sei que a partir de uma certa idade os jovens já não têm
interesse por este mundo, mas se eu fosse mãe estaria muito atenta!!! E
vocês sabem que jogos os vossos filhos andam a jogar? Já tinham ouvido
falar neste jogo GTA? Que tal estou eu como Minnie? Contem-me tudo nos

ideia de fazer este post nasceu de um comentário que tive no post To Be or Not To Be Vegan? Eu dizia nesse post, que não sabia que mal poderia
estar a fazer às minhas galinhas ao comer os seus ovos!!! Ora um dos
comentários foi dirigido a esta frase (podem ir ao post comprovar).
Então uma senhora comentou dizendo que também tinha galinhas, mas não
comia os ovos delas, porque reparou que sempre que retirava os ovos,
elas ficavam muito stressadas e era triste assistir a isso! É do senso
comum, que nunca se deve retirar todos os ovos do ninho e, que as
galinhas, sim, ficam stressadas se estiverem a chocar os ovos!!
But you must know me enough to know that I didn't buy this mask just to talk about it!!! The idea of this post was born from a comment I had in the post To Be or Not to Be Vegan? I said in this post, I didn't know what harm I could be doing to my chickens by eating their eggs!!! Well one of the comments was addressed to this sentence (you can go to the post to prove). Then
a lady commented saying that she also had chickens, but didn't eat
their eggs, because she noticed that whenever she took the eggs, the chikens
were very distressed and it was sad to watch! It's
common sense, that you should never remove all the eggs from the nest
and that the chickens, yes, get distressed if they are hatching their eggs !!
Como vamos falar de ovos e de galinhas,
aproveito para mostrar a minha toalha de banho com uma barra em ponto
cruz feita por mim, cujo desenho são, nada mais nada menos, que ovos e
galinhas!! A aplicação de crochet foi feita pela minha mãe!!
As we are
going to talk about eggs and chickens, I would like to show my bath

Mas aonde é que eu quero chegar com
isto? Então é o seguinte, se vocês quisessem defender uma causa e,
despender parte do vosso tempo na defesa dela, preferiam defender o
stress das galinhas e a forma como elas ficam tristes quando ficam sem
os ovos, ou defender, denunciar o facto de em África, crianças a morrer à
fome, outras escravizadas, violadas, vendidas, assassinadas por serem
de determinada religião?
Do you see my point? So,
if you wanted to defend a cause and spend part of your time defending
it, you would rather defend the chickens stress and the way they
get sad when they lose their eggs, or defend, denounce the fact
that in Africa, children starving, others are enslaved, raped, sold, murdered because they belong to a particular religion?
Olhem para mim e imaginem uma criança
africana a morrer de fome e, olhem para as galinhas e imaginem o stress
delas sem seus ovos. Em quem vocês gastariam as vossas energias para
denunciar a situação? Só quando entenderem e sentirem na pele o que é o
sofrimento humano é que podem ter compaixão por quem sofre!!! É minha
opinião que os pais super protegem os seus filhos destas imagens para
que não fiquem traumatizados, mas nós temos o dever de lhes explicar o
que se passa no mundo, para que se emocionem e tenham compaixão e, não
chorem por causa de um jogo de futebol (assunto abordado pela Mena do
blog Entre os meus dias) e explicar-lhes que o mundo não são só
cãezinhos e gatinhos e jogos de futebol!!
Look at me and imagine an African child dying of hunger and look at the chickens and imagine their stress without their eggs. In whom would you spend your energies to denounce the situation? Once you understand and know how it feels what's human suffering you can have compassion for those who suffer !!! It's my opinion that parents overprotect their children from those
images so they will not be traumatized, but we have a obligation to explain to
them what is going on in the world, so that they get emotional and have
compassion and don't cry over a football game
(issue discussed by Mena's blog Entre os meus dias) and explain to them
that the world are not just puppies and kittens and football games !!
Para mim a resposta é mais que óbvia e nem se coloca, não quer dizer que aprove os maus tratos a animais, eu sou e serei sempre uma Humanista e não uma Animalista!! E, vocês o que são?

Lembram-se do post To be or not to be Vegan? Lembram-se que foi a propósito de um comentário que fiz num blog? Pois este post é a continuação. Quando fiz esse post avisei a menina, desse blog, que o tinha feito, porque achava que ela não me tinha entendido. Não sei se ela leu esse post, sei que não o comentou, mas respondeu-me no blog dela!!! Esta menina, porque é disso que se trata, uma menina, na sua ingenuidade de quem nunca passou dificuldades na vida, achou que eu me alimentava mal e deveria ir a um nutricionista!!! E, eu informei-a que andava nas consultas de: Nutrição, Gastro, Medicina Interna, Nefrologia, Cardiologia e Dermatologia e, mais, que aqueles poucos alimentos que comia, só os comia com ajuda de medicação.
Com a troca de impressões que tive com ela confirmei aquilo que eu já havia constatado quando se trata de veganismo. É o mesmo que estar a falar contra uma parede!!! Não há volta a dar a isto!!! E, não há pontes de diálogo que se possam estabelecer, a prova disso foi que ela nem veio aqui comentar o post!!!
Do you remember the post To be or not to be Vegan? Do you remember that it was about a comment I made on a blog? So this post is the continuation. Because when I made that post I told the girl, of that blog, that I had done it, because I thought she had not understood me. I don't know if she read that post, I know she didn't comment, but she answered me on her blog !!! This
girl, because that's what it's about, a girl, in her ingenuity of those who never
had difficulties in life, thought that I fed badly and should go to a
nutritionist !!! And I informed her that I had appointements of: Nutrition, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Cardiology
and Dermatology, and more than the few foods I could eat, I only
ate them with the medication help. With the exchange of views I had with her I confirmed what I had already noticed when it comes to veganism. It's like talking to a stone wall !!! There is no going back to this !!! And,
there are no bridges of dialogue that can be established, the proof was
that she didn't even come here to comment the post !!!
E, de facto há comentários dela que são autênticas pérolas de
sabedoria!!! (percebem, agora, porque é que estou com esta camisola!!!).
Mas, agora tenho de fazer um juízo de valor sobre quem são, para mim,
estas pessoas. São pessoas que foram super protegidas pelos pais, nunca
passaram dificuldades na vida, não sabem o que é chegar ao fim do mês e
terem contas para pagar e, mais grave, acham que todos os direitos
conquistados por outras gerações estão garantidos ad eaternum, por isso,
o trabalho está todo feito e, portanto têm de lutar é por quem não tem
voz para se defender: os animais!!!
Ela diz que percebe que se
deve lutar tanto pelos nossos direitos como pelo dos animais. Mas o que
vejo é que não fazem isso!!! Mais depressa organizam uma manifestação
contra as touradas (e ficam super indignados com isso) do que se
manifestam contra o aumento da idade de reforma.

E, finalmente a pérola das pérolas da sabedoria e, para que não digam que eu distorci o que ela disse, eu transcrevo: "Acho
que aqui não há nada a
debater sobre quem tem razão: fazer mal a um ser senciente, seja ele
humano ou não-humano, é errado e pronto." E, eu respondi-lhe: "Então
para ti eu estava condenada à morte". Para quem não estiver a perceber
eu explico, os animais que eu como são a minha salvação, dado o meu
problema de saúde, para ela, fazer mal a um ser não-humano é errado e
pronto!! Se isto não é ser radical, expliquem-me por favor o que é ser
radical? Mas, ela responde a isto, e diz que não é contra quem come
animais, "Ser
contra atitudes especistas não é sinónimo de desrespeitar quem comete
essas atitudes." - palavras dela, e acrescenta que tem de defender os
animais porque não têm voz.

finally the pearl of the pearls of wisdom, so that she doesn't say that I
distorted what she said I transcribe: "I think there is nothing here to
debate about who is right: to harm a sentient being, be it human or non-human, is wrong and thats all. " And I said to her, "So to you, I was condemned to death!" For
those who don't understand, I explain, the animals that I eat are my
salvation, because of my health problem, so to do harm to a non-human
being is wrong and thats all!! If this is not radical, please explain to me what it is to be radical? But,
she answer to this, she says that she isn't against those who eat
animals, "Being against specificistic attitudes is not synonymous with
disrespecting those who commit such attitudes." - her words, and adds that she has to defend the animals because they have no voice.
Resumindo,
se esta menina tivesse o Poder de Decidir sobre a Vida de qualquer Ser
(humano ou não humano) mais rapidamente defendia um porco de ir para o
espeto, do que eu, que preciso desses animais para sobreviver, porque eles
não têm voz e, eu tenho!!! E, eu pergunto-me, que geração é esta que

Relatório Clínico. Tenho mais informações sobre o meu estado de saúde. Mas para perceberem como funciona Portugal, tenho de vos contar a história completa. Eu estou a ser seguida em dois hospitais diferentes, num tenho consultas de umas especialidades, no outro, tenho outras especialidades. Esses dois hospitais não comunicam entre si, porque não existe um sistema informático integrado de todos os hospitais. Resultado eu ando com resultados de exames de um hospital para outro, às voltas como num carrossel. Numa primeira consulta que tive num desses hospitais e, depois de já ter feito vários exames, a médica disse-me: "Sabe os seus exames não são conclusivos e eu não tenho uma bola de cristal para lhe dizer, só com esta informação, qual é o seu problema, mas eu vou estudar o seu caso, juntamente com a outra colega que a está a seguir na outra especialidade". Passados 4 dias, recebo uma carta dessa médica com análises para fazer para investigar uma determinada doença.
Clinical Report. I have more information about my health problem. But for you to understand how Portugal works, I have to tell you the whole story. I'm being followed in two different hospitals, in one I have appoitments of some specialties, the other, I have other specialties. These two hospitals don't communicate with each other, because there is no integrated computer system for all hospitals. So I have to deliver the exams results from one hospital to another, spinning around like a carousel. At
a first appointment I had at one of these hospitals, and after having
done several exams, the doctor told me: "You know your exams are
inconclusive and I don't have a crystal ball to tell you, just with
this information, which is your problem, but I'll study your case together with the other colleague who is following you in the other specialty. " After 4 days, I received a letter from this doctor with analysis to do to investigate a particular disease.
Eu não reconheci imediatamente que doença era e, fui ao google,
quando percebi que doença era, assustei-me e desatei a chorar, telefonei
a uma tia, mas não lhe disse que doença era, nem tão pouco à minha mãe.
Fiquei também a saber que existem diferentes tipos dessa doença e eu só
conhecia um. Mas, depois comecei a assimilar a informação toda e
convenci-me que era impossível eu ter aquela doença. Quando fui saber o
resultado das análises, não ia preocupada. Deu negativo. Entretanto, no
outro hospital tive que fazer um exame em que estive internada,
lembram-se?(The Stepping Stones post) Pois, esse exame indicou novamente
para essa doença e, eu pensei "novamente este pesadelo" e tive de fazer
mais análises para completar o estudo. Na passada segunda feira fui
finalmente saber o resultado de tudo.

an aunt, but I didn't tell her what illness was, nor to my mother. I also learned that there are different types of this disease and I only knew one. But then I began to assimilate the whole information and convinced myself that it was impossible for me to have that disease. I was not worried. Analysis results: Negative. However,
at the other hospital I had to do a complex exam and I was
hospitalized, remember? (The Stepping Stones post) Well, that
exam indicated again for this disease and, I thought "this
nightmare again" and had to do more analysis to complete the study. Last Monday I finally knew the result of everything.
Resultado do exame: Positivo. Mas... a doença apresenta-se de uma
forma que surpreendeu o médico, porque as análises
complementares não a evidenciam de uma forma clara, como mostram os
portadores dessa doença, digamos que quem tem essa doença apresenta
valores mais vincados e eu tenho uns valores, digamos mais suaves...
subtis é a palavra correcta. Por isso é que ele não entende. Então ficou
de pesquisar uma pessoa que investigue essa doença para me encaminhar
para ela, porque tenho de fazer um estudo genético.
Exam result: Positive.
But... the disease presents itself in a way
that surprised the doctor, at the same time the complementary
analyzes don't show it clearly, as the patients with this disease have,
in other words those people with this disease have higher values and I have some, let's say softer ... subtle values, is the right word. That's why he doesn't understand. So
the doctor have to do a rechearch to find a person who investigates
this particular disease to refer me, because I have to do a genetic study.
Entretanto, ontem, mais umas voltas no carrossel, fui ao outro
hospital levar toda esta informação, à primeira médica que tinha colocado
a hipótese desta doença. Disse-me que não ficou surpreendida porque já o
esperava, mas que mais uma vez tinha de estudar toda a informação
juntamente com a outra colega porque muito provavelmente teria de fazer
mais exames para se saber ao certo qual o tipo de doença, já que ela se
apresenta de diversas formas.
Meanwhile,
yesterday, one more spin around on the carousel, I went to the other hospital
to deliver all this information to the first doctor who had put the
hypothesis of this disease at the first place. She told me that she
wasn't surprised because she was expecting it, but she had to
study all the information together with the other colleague because I
would probably have to do more exams to know exactly what kind of desease is, because there are several kins of it.
Concluindo, quando tirei estas fotos foi já a pensar nos
resultados dos exames e as cores da edição das fotos seriam escolhidas
consoante o resultado deles. As minhas cores brilhantes que vocês estão
habituados a ver aqui, desvaneceram-se....mas continuo de vestido verde
e, às voltas neste carrossel que eu não quero que seja solitário, pois
quero a vossa companhia e o vosso apoio. Esta semana eu caí, mas mais
uma vez vou-me erguer e na próxima publicação as cores bonitas irão
regressar, porque a vida tem de continuar às voltas como este carrossel...
In
conclusion, when I took these photos I was already thinking about the
exams results and the colors of the photo editing would be chosen
depending on the result of them. My bright colors
that you are used to see here have faded .... but I still have a
green dress and, I don't want this lonely carouselt, I
want your company and your support. This week I
fell, but once again I will rise myself and in the next post the
beautiful colors will return, because life has to continue, spinning around like this carousel...

de Coimbra e, o músico que ia abrir as festividades era o Rodrigo Leão.
Eu fui ver o espectáculo, mas não tenho fotos porque este não se
realizou devido ao mau tempo. Por isso deixo-vos a música The Lonely

música porque é linda, e diz muito sobre o como me sinto, a vida é uma
lotaria, um jogo de cartas e, nunca sabemos qual a carta que nos pode calhar! Esta
