Look nº 305 - The love boat!

Não. Não vou falar da série The Love Boat que a maior parte de vocês nunca viu, mas fez muito sucesso na televisão na minha juventude. Mas, para vos falar de barcos e de como eles fizeram parte da minha vida durante alguns anos. Eu trabalhei num estaleiro de construção naval, muitos barcos passaram por mim, em números, e sempre que há um naufrágio de algum barco a minha preocupação é grande em saber se foi algum dos meus barcos. Mas na realidade o que vos queria contar é sobre esta roupa que hoje apresento e a história dela, mais propriamente do casaco, então, sempre que um barco é lançado à água faz-se uma festa que se chama o Bota-Abaixo, chama-se um Padre para benzer o navio, o armador convida familiares e amigos, fazem-se os discursos da praxe, há musica e comida, convidam-se políticos da cidade e até ministros, e claro, parte-se uma garrafa de champanhe no casco do barco, o baptismo! Então, para uma dessas festas eu comprei este casaco numa boutique, é italiano, e de muito bom corte, e agora, passados 13 anos volta-me a servir, para quem não sabe eu emagreci 15Kg, e eu estou muito feliz por isso, e de me lembrar dessas muitas festas!!!

No. I'm not going to talk about The Love Boat series that most of you have never seen, but it was a hit on television in my youth. But to tell you about boats and how they have been part of my life for a few years. I worked in a shipbuilding yard, many boats passed by me, in numbers, and whenever there is a shipwreck of some boat my concern is great in knowing if it was any of my boats. But what I want to tell you is about this clothes I am presenting today and the history of it, more properly the coat, so whenever a boat is launched into the water there is a party called the Bota-Abaixo, a priest is called to bless the ship, the shipowner invites family and friends, make some speeches, there is music and food, invites politicians from the city and even ministers, and of course, a bottle of champagne is broken against the hull of the boat, its the baptism! So for one of those parties, I bought this coat in a boutique, it's Italian, very good cut, and now, after 13 years, it fits me again, for those who do not know I've lost 15Kg, and I'm very happy about that, and remembering that many parties!!!
