Olá! Bem-vindos meus caros amigos e leitores! Tenho uma novidade para vos dar, este ano também há um conto de Natal. Não me vou alongar com mais conversas pois o conto é um pouco longo, pelo vos convido à sua leitura! 

Hello! Welcome, my dear friends and readers! I have some news for you: this year there is also a Christmas Carol. I won't go on any longer, as the story is quite long, so I invite you to read it!

 

CONTO DE NATAL

 Era uma vez, na cidade de Coimbra, um ursinho que vivia só e abandonado. Todas as noites olhava para o brilho das estrelas e pedia um desejo! 

- Minhas amigas estrelinhas gostava de vos pedir algo, algo que me fizesse feliz, mas não sei o que me pode fazer feliz, porque eu não sei o que isso é! Podeis me ajudar?

A sua voz ecoou na noite gelada e o silêncio era de chumbo! Até que uma estrela começou  a brilhar mais que todas as outras, a sua luz era tão forte e bela, que os olhos do pequeno ursinho se iluminaram perante aquela luz hipnotizante! O silêncio foi rasgado por um barulho cintilante e, a estrela brilhante aproximou-se do nariz do ursinho, que maravilhado paralizou! 

 

 

CHRISTMAS CAROL

Once upon a time, in the Coimbra city, there was a teddy bear who lived alone and abandoned. Every night he looked at the twinkling stars and made a wish!

- My little star friends, I would like to ask you for something, something that would make me happy, but I don't know what could make me happy, because I don't know what that is! Can you help me?

His voice echoed in the cold night and the silence was deafening! Until one star began to shine brighter than all the others, its light was so strong and beautiful that the teddy bear's eyes lit up in the mesmerising glow! The silence was broken by a sparkling noise, and the bright star approached the bear cub's nose, who was paralysed with wonder! 

 

  - Entáo, ursinho não  dizes nada? Perguntou a estrelinha.

- Eu... eu... aacho que não estou a ver bem! Diz o ursinho maravilhado.

- Porque me chamaste? Diz a estrelinha com um ar inquiridor.

- Eu acho... eu acho que queria pedir um desejo, mas isto já é demais! Balbuciou o ursinho com a voz tremelicante.  

- Então pede ursinho, tudo é possível, nunca te esqueças disso!

- Posso pedir então?

- Claro!

- Bem, eu queria ter um coração que batesse a cada segundo, um coração de verdade, estrelinha! 

 

- So, teddy bear, aren't you going to say anything? asked the little star.

- I... I... I don't think I can see properly! said the teddy bear, amazed.

- Why did you call me? said the little star, looking puzzled.

- I think... I think I wanted to make a wish, but this is too much! Stammered the teddy bear with a trembling voice.

- hen make a wish, teddy bear, anything is possible, never forget that!

- Can I make a wish then?

- Of course!

- Well, I wanted to have a heart that beats every second, a real heart, little star!

 

 

- Então ursinho eu vou concretizar o teu desejo! Vou mandar todas as crianças da cidade para brincarem contigo! Disse a estrelinha sorrindo.

- Adorei a ideia estrelinha, mas espera... como é que isso vai fazer bater o meu coração? Volta estrelinha! Gritava o ursinho, enquanto a estrelinha subia ao céu, pois estava já a amanhecer.

E, nesse dia, as crianças da cidade apareceram para brincar com o ursinho e abraçaram-no tanto, que o ursinho ficou emocionado e, nisto... o ursinho sentiu uma palpitação a cada abraço de uma criança. O ursinho passou a sentir um bater ritmado e pensou:

"Finalmente tenho um coração, estrelinha! Obrigada por me revelares algo tão grandioso, tão poderoso. Este grande SEGREDO de amor foi a melhor prenda que poderia ter neste Natal!" E, olhou para o céu.

 

FIM 

 

 

- Then, teddy bear, I will make your wish come true! I will send all the children in the city to play with you! Said the little star, smiling.

- I love that idea, little star, but wait... how will that make my heart beat? Come back, little star! Cried the teddy bear, as the little star rose into the sky, for dawn was breaking.

And on that day, the children of the city came to play with the teddy bear and hugged him so much that the teddy bear was moved, and then... the teddy bear felt a flutter with each hug from a child. The teddy bear began to feel a rhythmic beating and thought:

‘I finally have a heart, little star! Thank you for revealing something so grand, so powerful to me. This great SECRET of love was the best gift I could have received this Christmas!’ And he looked up at the sky.
