Olá! Bem-vindos!

Como é evidente, esta semana não há o post dos Looks da semana! Acho que percebem que com a quantidade de água que tem caído do céu, é impossível fazer fotos de looks na rua! Foi, então, que tive de pensar numa alternativa para que pudesse manter a publicação de sexta-feira.

As you can see, there is no Looks of the Week post this week! I think you understand that with all the rain we've been having, it's impossible to take photos of outfits on the street! So, I had to think of an alternative so that I could keep up with Friday's post.

Como sabem gosto de fazer viagens no tempo, pensei que se fizesse uma viagem mais longa, vocês iriam adorar. Então, apresento-vos umas fotos que tirei a mim própria, muito antes de serem populares as selfies. Teria nesta época uns 35/37 anos. Apesar da máquina fotográfica ser bastante simples, acho que as fotos ficaram muito bonitas. Por isso lhe chamo ensaio fotográfico!

As you know, I like to travel through time, so I thought that if I took a longer trip, you would love it. So, here are some photos I took of myself, long before selfies became popular. I was about 35/37 years old at the time. Although the camera was quite simple, I think the photos turned out very nice. That's why I call it a photo essay!

Apresentada que está a rubrica, quero só acrescentar uma pequena mensagem para assim enriquecer o post! Por isso, quero.vos falar, ou melhor perguntar, como vocês lidam com a impunidade de  muitas pessoas? Tenho a certeza que conhecem alguém que já cometeu muitos erros, já praticou muitas maldades na vida, mas a esta parece sempre sorrir-lhes. Conhecem, não conhecem? 

Now that I've introduced the topic, I'd just like to add a little message to enrich the post! So, I want to talk to you, or rather ask you, how do you deal with the impunity of many people? I'm sure you know someone who has made many mistakes, has done many bad things in life, but seems to always get away with it. You know someone like that, don't you?

Eu conheço umas quantas, vá... muitas! Vivem em impunidade há já muitos anos! Mas se a percepção - atenção que esta palavra anda muito na moda em Portugal - que temos é a de impunidade e, acho que no fundo essas pessoas são umas miseráveis, com vidas insuportáveis e que nada, nunca lhes vai acontecer de mal, pois fiquem a saber que eu acredito na lei do retorno. Mais tarde ou mais cedo a conta será apresentada com juros e correcção monetária. Isto não calha sempre aos mesmos! E, vocês acreditam na Lei do Retorno? 

I know a few, well... many! They have been living with impunity for many years! But if the perception—note that this word is very fashionable in Portugal—that we have is one of impunity, and I think that deep down these people are miserable, with unbearable lives, and that nothing bad will ever happen to them, then let them know that I believe in the law of return.
