Look Nº 402 - A Christmas Carol!

Este ano preparei-vos uma surpresa diferente. Vou presentear-vos com um Conto de Natal, não se assustem é uma short story. É isso mesmo, mas não pensem que é um conto para criancinhas. Não. É um conto para as famílias modernas do séc. XXI. O Natal é o tempo da reunião da família. Mas como são as famílias do nosso tempo? Que tipo de relações as pessoas estabelecem entre si? 

 This year I prepared you a different surprise. I'll give you as a gift a Christmas Carol, its a short story I promisse. That's right, but don't think it's a kids tale. No. It's a tale for the modern families of the 21st century. Christmas is the time of family reunion. But how are the families of our time? What kind of relationships do people establish with each other?

Sabemos que as famílias modernas podem ser constituídas por dois pais, duas mães, por pessoas que apenas se juntam sem qualquer vinculo legal. Uma coisa é certa, o conceito de família evolui e, é hoje, muito diferente. Consequentemente também o tipo de laços que se estabelecem são diferentes. Mas chega de seca e, vamos ao conto!

We know that modern families can be made up of two fathers, two mothers, for people who only come together without any legal relationship. One thing is certain, the concept of family evolves and it's very different today. Consequently also the links established are different. So let's get to the point or to the tale!

 Ah! não esperem um conto muito certinho, é que aqui o menino Jesus escreve direito por linhas tortas eheheh!!! Prontos, já sabem que estou a fazer a personificação do menino Jesus do séc. XXI, está, agora, deitado numas palhinhas mais modernas e fofinhas!!! E já tem roupinha! Tadinho do outro!!! Espero que este conto se atravesse transversalmente nas vossas consciências, seja uma espécie de espinho na vossa cabeça ah isso é na Páscoa, sorry!!!

 Oh! don't expect a common tale, here the baby Jesus writes straight with crooked line  !!! Okay, now you know that I'm making the personification of the baby Jesus of the 21st century, and he is lying on some more modern and cute straws! And he has clothes! Poor little one...I mean the other one!!! I hope this tale crosses transversally in your consciousness, a kind of thorn in your head. Oh that is in Easter sorry!!!

Transversalidades ou A outra!

Estava a chegar a hora de nos despedirmos, como era hábito serviram-nos o pequeno-almoço no quarto, não comi nada, eu nunca comia nada, odiava a despedida, enquanto acabavas de te arranjar, passei os olhos pelo jornal que o empregado fazia questão de trazer, já conhecia os teus hábitos. Abraçámo-nos. Tu sorriste para mim e, na perfeição do momento os nossos olhos encontraram-se e, eu vi a imperfeição das nossas vidas. 

     Célia: Quando é que lhe vais contar?

    André: Não sei... Eu sei que ela sabe. é impossível não saber, acho que prefere ignorar, mas não vamos falar disso agora.

     Célia: E, quando é que falamos?

     André: Nós prometemos não falar nisso...

  Transversalities or The Other One

 It was time for us to say goodbye, as usual we had breakfast in the room, I didn't eat anything, I never ate anything, I hated good-byes, while you were getting ready, I looked at the newspaper that the bellboy bring us, he already knows your habits. We embraced each other. You smiled at me, and in the perfection of the moment our eyes met and I saw the imperfection of our lives.
      Celia: When are you going to tell her?
    Andrew: I don't know ... I know she knows. It's impossible not to know, I think she prefers to ignore it, but let's not talk about it now.
      Celia: And when do we talk?
      Andrew: We promise not to talk about it ...

E, assim permanecemos em silêncio, nos braços um do outro.

      André: ... e o Paulo?

     Célia: Está num congresso, ultimamente tem muitos congressos, passou ontem em casa, apanhou a mala, o bilhete e, partiu para Veneza, acreditas? Na véspera de Natal e tem um congresso logo em Veneza?

     André: Foi com ela?

     Célia: Não.

     André: Foi sozinho, não acredito!!

     Célia: Tem outra!

And so we stood silently in each other's arms.
       Andrew: ... and what about Paul?
      Celia: He's in a congress, lately he's going to many congresses, yesterday he went at home, picked up the suitcase, the ticket, and left for Venice, do you believe? On Christmas Eve and he have a congress in Venice?
      Andrew: Was it with her?
      Celia: No.
      Andrew: He went alone, I don't believe it !!
      Celia: He has other one!

Como sabem, ou já deviam saber, que as minhas histórias têm sempre uma banda sonora, esta não é excepção. Digamos que o menino Jesus acabadinho de nascer contam-lhe esta história sobre as relações de uns possíveis pais do séc. XXI, ele não tem alternativa senão cantar esta canção, então façam lá o favor de ouvir o que o menino Jesus diz à sua mãe, a Virgem Maria e, qual foi a sua reacção, é na música Bohemian Rhapsody dos Queen (com tradução) e, tentem perceber o que ela responde ao menino perante esta história toda e porque é que pede ao menino Jesus para não lhe fazer aquilo a ela, curiosos??. Acho que fugiram todos, atenção acabámos de ficar sem Presépio!!! Ai agora é que vou ser excomungada!!!!!. Espero que tenham gostado deste meu conto de Natal fora da caixa!!

Já sabem a lengalenga toda: Muita paz, amor, amizade, saúde, prendinhas no sapatinho and so on, and so on... e, beijinhos do menino Jaasus ahahahah!!!

As you know, or you must, my stories always have a soundtrack, this is no exception. Let's say that the baby Jesus just born and someone told him this story about the relationships of some possible fathers of the 21 st century, he has no choice but to sing this song, so do the favor of hearing what the baby Jesus says to his mother, the Virgin Mary and what was is reaction, it's in the Queen Bohemian Rhapsody music and try to understand what she answers to baby Jesus in face of this whole story and why she says to baby Jesus not to do that to her, curious? I think they have all run out of the Christmas Crib!!! Now I'm going to be excommunicated person!!!!!.. I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Carol out of the box !!
