Olá! Bem-vindos!
Hello! Welcome! It's raining, storm Ingrid is setting in. It's impossible to leave the house. I'm feeling nostalgic and my desire to do something productive is close to zero! Apart from a hot cup of tea, I feel like taking a trip back in time. But how? I know! I'm going to take several trips back in time with my box of old photos, you know, those photos from before the digital age? That's right! I had no idea that photography would become so important in my life!
I would like to introduce you to the cutest pet I ever had: my dog Bolinhas, who is now in dog heaven. He was a very spoilt dog and was the first dog to live indoors and be treated like a real pet where I live. At the time, we were heavily criticised for this, as until then dogs lived outside the house and their only job was to guard the house.
My young Bolinhas, in the first photo, and in the second, a few months before going to doggy heaven!
This is probably my favourite photo. I was about 35 years old and going through my most revolutionary period. I call this photo Marisa Lion and I have a large print of it on the wall of my living room. It's not just a photo, but everything I was at the time: a warrior!
The beginnings of my revolutionary period are evident in these photos. This is a student demonstration, around 1990/1, in front of the Assembly of the Republic. We were fighting against the increase in university tuition fees. These photos must have remained in my subconscious, because later I embroidered, in cross-stitch, a large demonstration in that same place, and I have already told the story here.
My dream was to be a platinum blonde, lol, and I went for it, but it went wrong, my hair couldn't take the damage, but it's still my dream! Lol!
I also really like this photo, it represents Marisa the professional. This photo was printed on all the letters I wrote, whether to apply for jobs, to make complaints, or even to report abuses of power!

And last but not least, this is perhaps the most mysterious photo I have ever taken of myself. I think I managed to capture my soul, perhaps what is called psychography in photography.
I hope you enjoyed this journey through time via my photographs. So much time has passed and so much to say and learn!
Story of my life!
The song I chose is perhaps the psychography of my life. In simple terms, psychography is the phenomenon whereby a higher intelligence, or God, or a computer, as in Simulation Theory, “dictates” as if the person writing were reading from a teleprompter, or writing what these entities dictate to them. I think that when David Fonseca wrote this song, ‘Someone that cannot love,’ he was in this transcendental state!

Olá! Bem-vindos, meus caros amigos e leitores!
Hello! Welcome, my dear friends and readers! I know that, through my own fault, I stopped writing to Santa Claus, as was customary here on the blog! But that will no longer be the case! I am delighted to announce with great pomp and circumstance that this year I have started writing to Santa Claus again!
But first, I want to tell you about my outfit. It's a trendy lingerie-style dress. It's very delicate, with lace and very elegant. I chose to wear it with a second skin top, but it can also be worn with a top over the dress for a more casual style. This way, we can wear more formal dresses in a more casual way, making them very versatile!
CARTA AO PAI NATAL
Querido Pai Natal,

LETTER TO SANTA CLAUS
Dear Santa,
I hope you are in good health. I know you must be very busy with presents for children all over the world, but I ask for just a minute of your attention to read my letter! You know I write to you every year with words of affection! No. Last year I forgot, and for that I apologise, but I am writing to you this year to make a request. But it's not just any request!
To be continued
I would also like to receive a gift from you. I know I am no longer a child, but the child that still lives inside me really wants a gift from you. She would like evil, envy and greed to be erased from the hearts of mankind! That is what I would really like! I know you can work magic with children. I also ask you to wrap it up nicely, with a big bow, and leave it at every house you visit!
To be continued
My dear daughter,
I couldn't help but respond to your touching letter, which brought tears to my eyes! But you know, my daughter, what you are asking me is one of those impossible things that I cannot make possible! I hope you understand Santa Claus. I am a person of integrity and my work is done with a high sense of ethics! The impossible is for the Catholic Church and... you know, my dear daughter!
Signed: Santa Claus

Hello, welcome to my Christmas post, this year there's no Letter to Santa, nor is there a Christmas Carol! The fact is that we're approaching the end of 2024 and it's impossible to ignore the world around us. The world is becoming a frightening place, with wars, endless conflicts, hunger, misery and death. The images that reach us from so many corners of the world are disheartening, and the prospect of these conflicts widening, perhaps even with more destructive weapons, sends shivers down my spine.
I wonder how the world got to this point? Perhaps it's time to look inwards. The world, after all, is a reflection of each one of us. In our infinite smallness, we are increasingly selfish, ready to do anything to achieve our goals, even if it means riding roughshod over others. We maintain false friendships, often motivated by self-interest, and let empathy and solidarity take a back seat.
Segundo Presente / Second gift
Perhaps the real miracle of Christmas is recognising that the world will only change when each of us changes. We don't need to wait for the Last Judgement to rethink our choices, our attitudes and the impact we have on others. May this Christmas be the start of a transformation - more than a celebration, a commitment to a future where we can be better, as people and as humanity. After all, we are the world!
Another Christmas gift, the looks I wore last Christmas, I hope you enjoy seeing them again!
🎄🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS!🎄🎄
Olá queridos leitores do Marisa's Closet!
Hello dear Marisa's Closet readers! As is the tradition on this blog, this post features a Christmas Carol. In this tale I hope you'll be enveloped by the warmth of generosity. This is a story that celebrates the magic of Christmas and reminds us of the true meaning of this season!

May this tale be a reminder that even on the darkest nights, the light of compassion can light the way to a brighter tomorrow. Indeed, that fire should weigh heavily on the consciences of the owners of this poorly governed and frequented Earth!
But this post is also a time machine post, this Christmas we're travelling to the year 2020 and this dress was the look I chose to wear on Easter Day that year!
