The Looks of the Week #64

Olá!! Bem-vindos a mais um fabuloso post dos Looks da Semana! Mais uma semana que passou a correr e, espremendo bem o tempo, o melhor da semana foram mesmo estes looks! As festas em Coimbra têm sido um sucesso, aqui no blog né!! E, já a pensar no encerramento das ditas cujas, o próximo post está um pouco longo para o que é normal, pelo que aproveito este post para fazer uma pequena introdução ao tema! Concordam??

Hello!! Welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! Another week went by and, squeezing the time, the best of the week were these looks! The festivities in Coimbra have been a success, right here on the blog!! And, already thinking about its closing, the next post is a little long for what is normal, so I take this post to make a little introduction to the topic! Do you agree??

Não sei se sabem, mas o meu Signo do Zodíaco é o Capricórnio. Penso que todos sabem que se trata de um Cabra!! Gosto de pensar que eu sou essa Cabra lá no cimo do monte. Gosto tanto, que quando fui visitar o Parque Arqueológico de Foz Côa, comprei esta pedra com uma das gravuras icónicas do parque, que é nada mais nada menos que uma grande Cabra! Para quem não aprecia a arte, um dos motivos é porque não a entende, mas eu vou dar uma explicação sobre o desenho para que realmente seja apreciado o seu valor. Convém informar-vos que se trata de arte rupestre do Paleolítico Superior, estamos a falar 20 mil anos atrás! Ora neste horizonte temporal o Homem tinha poucos recursos para fazer um desenho, fazia-o com uma pedra afiada servindo esta como se fosse um lápis! Podem imaginar que não seria fácil desenhar desta maneira!

I don't know if you know, but my zodiac sign is Capricorn. I think everyone knows it's a Goat!! I like to think I'm that Goat up there on the hill. I like it so much that when I went to visit the Foz Côa Archaeological Park, I bought this stone with one of the park's iconic engravings, which is nothing less than a big Goat! For those who don't appreciate art, one of the reasons is because they don't understand it, but I'm going to give an explanation about the drawing so that its value is really appreciated. It is important to inform you that this is Upper Paleolithic rock art, we are talking about 20 thousand years ago! Now, in this time horizon, Man had few resources to make a drawing, he did it with a sharp stone, serving it as if it were a pencil! You can imagine that it wouldn't be easy to draw like this!

Se olharem bem para o desenho que tenho na mão conseguem facilmente perceber que se trata de uma Cabra, apenas feita com poucos traços e, aí é que reside o seu valor, como? Captar uma realidade complexa como é um animal e em apenas meia dúzia de traços conseguir traduzir essa realidade complexa não é para qualquer um, agora imaginem isto feito com recurso a uma pedra! Convido-vos a tentarem com papel e lápis! Este Homem do Paleolítico era um artista! Isto tudo para reterem a ideia de que eu no próximo post sou esta Cabra do Paleolítico ahahah!!!

 If you look closely at the drawing I have in my hand, you can easily see that it is a Goat, made with just a few strokes, and therein lies its value, how? Capturing a complex reality like an animal and in just half a dozen strokes being able to translate that complex reality is not for everyone, now imagine this done using a stone! I invite you to try with paper and pencil! This Paleolithic Man was an artist! All this to retain the idea that in the next post I am this Paleolithic Goat hahaha!!!
