Look Nº 547 - The Pandemic Diary!

Hoje é o Dia Mundial da Criança. Aproveito a ocasião para vos contar um gosto que desenvolvi na infância e, que me acompanhou por todos estes anos. Hoje, era também o aniversário da minha avó Isaura. Foi com ela e com a minha mãe que desenvolvi o gosto pelos trabalhos manuais e pelos lavores - sim sou uma mulher muito prendada ahahaha!! -, a minha mãe adorava bordar à máquina e, para além de fazer a minha roupa, também a bordava.

Today is the International Children's Day. I take the opportunity to tell you a taste that I developed in childhood and that has accompanied me for all these years. Today, it was also my grandmother Isaura's birthday. It was with her and with my mother that I developed a taste for handicrafts projects - yes I am a very gifted woman ahahaha!! - my mother loved to embroider with the sewing machine and, in addition to making my clothes, she also embroidered them.

De tanto ver a minha mãe bordar e, de ver o trabalho e, as horas que ela passava à máquina a fazer tudo com tanto carinho, que passei eu, a apreciar muito este tipo de trabalho, que é mais uma terapia do que um trabalho!! Já estão adivinhar porque é que eu não resisti a este vestido?? Eu não bordo à máquina, mas gosto/adoro o ponto cruz e, gosto mais ainda, se for um bordado  super colorido!! Como este vestido!!

Just by seeing my mother embroider and seeing the work and the hours she spent at the sewing machine doing everything with such affection that I start enjoying this type of work a lot, which is more a therapy than a work!! Are you already guessing why I couldn't resist this dress?? I don't do it with the sewing machine, but I like / love the cross stitch and, I like it even more, if it is super colorful embroidery!! Like this dress!!

Agora apresento-vos o trabalho que tenho em mãos, foi começado há mais de 20 anos, de facto foi o meu primeiro trabalho de ponto cruz, só que depois aborreci-me com ele e não o acabei!!! Até agora, como podem ver na 1ª foto, o trabalho estava praticamente concluído, mas como eu gosto de complicar, resolvi preencher todo o pano. Ainda não está acabado, falta ainda muito trabalho ao nível do detalhe, mas a Pandemia também não acabou!!! Por isso haja pano para bordar eheheh!!

Now I present to you the work I have in my hands, it was started more than 20 years ago, in fact it was my first cross stitch work, but then I got bored with it and I didn't finish it !!! So far, as you can see in the 1st photo, the work was practically completed, but as I like to complicate things, I decided to fill the entire cloth. It is not over yet, there is still a lot of work in terms of detail, but the Pandemic is not over either!!!

Outro gosto que desenvolvi foi a bijuteria, então achei que este vestido com este decote, merecia um colar também colorido, vai daí, fiz este colar!! Gostam??? Digam-me, o que gostaram mais, este vestido, ou o meu bordado?? Ou o colar??

Another taste that I developed was jewelry, so I thought that this dress with this neckline deserved a colorful necklace, so, I made this necklace !! Like??? Tell me, what did you like more, this dress, or my embroidery ?? or the necklace??
