Acho que não poderia, nem devia, dar por terminado o Diário da Pandemia sem falar numa pessoa que se revelou essencial - e extraordinária - a grande figura de todo o Processo de Vacinação em Portugal! Conhecido como o Almirante das Vacinas é o mais recente herói nacional!

I don't think I could, and shouldn't, end the Pandemic Diary without mentioning a person who proved to be essential - and extraordinary - the great figure in the entire Vaccination Process in Portugal! Known as the Admiral of the Vaccines, he is the latest national hero!

Merece ser apresentado com toda a pompa e circunstância o Vice Almirante Gouveia e Melo!

Este herói nacional, porque já tem - conquistou - este estatuto, conseguiu implementar uma estratégia de Vacinação que fez de Portugal o país do mundo com a mais alta taxa de vacinação da sua população, 85% da população portuguesa está vacinada com a segunda dose!! Uma proeza!!

De lembrar que este processo de vacinação começou de uma forma vergonhosa, com pessoas a serem vacinadas de forma indevida e a passarem à frente das pessoas prioritárias, numa situação de salve-se quem puder! Foi preciso chamar um militar e, em boa hora que isso aconteceu, porque o Vice-Almirante e a sua equipa, a task force, conseguiu implementar com o rigor militar, uma estratégia, que se revelou eficaz e um sucesso!

Por isso, eu não poderia terminar o Diário da Pandemia sem deixar o meu elogio e agradecimento pessoal ao nosso Almirante que desempenhou com distinção a missão mais importante da sua vida e, da vida de todos os portugueses! Viva!!

Quanto ao meu look, é apenas uma inspiração para os países mais frios, porque nós em Portugal, estamos com um Verão tardio e com temperaturas bastante agradáveis, este look foi fotografado num dia de chuva, mas mesmo assim não estava frio para usá-lo! Espero que gostem!!

Para começar desejo-vos um óptimo fim de semana! E para que este seja ainda mais espectacular aqui ficam os Looks desta semana! Yeah!! Eu gostava muito de vos apresentar looks de Outono, mas o Outono por estas bandas de Portugal tem nos pregado a partida de prolongar o Verão, sim, em Portugal tem feito temperaturas de 30ºC! E na próxima semana a previsão é para continuar! Estou a até a pensar em ir à praia!! Ahahahha!!

Look Nº 679 - The Orange Trees Orchard!

Hoje é feriado nacional! É o dia da Implantação da Republica Portuguesa. As cores da nossa bandeia, a partir desta data, passaram a ser o vermelho e o verde como se pode ver na figura. Mas, então, porque raio estou vestida de azul?- perguntam vocês!

Today is a national holiday! It is the day of the Implantation of the Portuguese Republic. The colors of our flag, from this date, became red and green, as shown in the figure. But then why the hell am I dressed in blue? - you ask!

Então é assim, até 1910 Portugal era uma monarquia e, como sabem a cor da realeza é o azul, daí a expressão "sangue azul". Como a nossa republica é mais uma republica das bananas e de bananas, por isso é que estamos como estamos - falidos - e, com uma das maiores dívidas soberanas do mundo! Hoje não quero prestar tributo a nenhum herói da republica, mas sim lembrar e homenagear a última rainha de Portugal: Sua Alteza Real a Rainha D. Amélia!

D. Amélia de Orleães pertencia à Casa Real Francesa, teve vários pretendentes de várias famílias reais europeias, mas acabaria por se apaixonar pelo Rei Português D. Carlos. À época diziam-lhe: Pobre Amélia, é horrível deixar a França e ir para aquele Portugal onde só há... laranjeiras!!!

D. Amélia de Orleães belonged to the French Royal House, she had several suitors from various European royal families, but she would eventually fall in love with the Portuguese King D. Carlos. Ao chegar a Portugal D. Amélia desceu do comboio com o pé esquerdo. O azar veio a confirmar-se em 1908 quando o Rei e o seu filho mais velho foram assassinados! Após a Implantação da Republica em 1910, D. Amélia exilou-se em Inglaterra e depois em França. Durante a nossa ditadura veio a Portugal a convite do ditador Salazar, mas desta vez desceu do comboio com o pé direito! Pediu ao ditador que quando morresse queria ser sepultada junto do marido e dos filhos. Morre em Versalhes e a sua vontade foi cumprida, o seu corpo é transladado para Portugal e o seu funeral teve honras de Estado. Hoje descansa junto de quem amou, o marido e os seus dois filhos neste lindo Pomar das Laranjeiras que é Portugal!

Upon arriving in Portugal, D. Amélia got off the train with her left foot. The bad luck was confirmed in 1908 when the King and his eldest son were murdered! After the implantation of the Republic in 1910, D. Amélia went into exile in England and then in France. The Looks of the Week #27

Ainda não podemos dizer que estamos no Outono, certo? As temperaturas têm estado altas, apenas se nota nos dias mais curtos! Pelo que os primeiros looks de Outono - finalmente! - não são verdadeiramente looks de Outono, com várias camadas de roupa. A única diferença está no uso de manga comprida em todos os looks! Também se nota na minha árvore que tem cada vez menos folhas!

We still can't say it's autumn, can we? Temperatures have been high, only noticeable on the shortest days! Vamos recuar ao dia 14 de Abril de 2020. Estavamos no primeiro confinamento. Mas, se bem se lembram o meu confinamento começou muito antes da Pandemia, quando parti o meu pé! Como podem constatar nas fotos estou a usar a bota ortopédica! Como não podia conduzir, as fotos eram tiradas no meu jardim!

Let's go back to April 14, 2020. We were in the first Lockdown. But if you remember my Lockdown started long before the Pandemic, when I broke my foot! As you can see in the photos I'm wearing the orthopedic boot! As I couldn't drive, the photos were taken in my garden!

No Throw Back estavamos na Primavera e, por isso, impunha-se o uso de um casaquinho. Neste restyling - fotos tiradas em pleno Verão - apresento-vos o vestido como ele deve ser usado, numa cerimónia, imaginem um casamento, seria perfeito! A fita que uso na cabeça no look mais antigo, agora uso-a na cintura como se fosse um cinto!

At Throw Back it was spring and, therefore, it was necessary to wear a cardigan. In this restyling - photos taken in midsummer - I present you the dress as it should be used, in a ceremony, imagine a wedding, it would be perfect! The headband I wear in the older look, now I wear it around my waist like a belt!

Como já sabem, desde que parti o pé, não posso usar saltos altos, mas estas belas mules conbinam na perfeição e, dão aquele toque final de elegância! Já nem vos falo na qualidade das fotos, o look de Primavera, as fotos, foram tiradas com telemóvel!

As you already know, since I broke my foot, I can't wear high heels, but these beautiful mules are a perfect fit and give that final touch of elegance! I'm not even talking about the quality of the photos, the Spring look, the photos were taken with a smartphone!

Look Nº 677 - Feeling Gooooood!

Hoje inicia-se um novo ciclo na vida das cidades, vilas e aldeias de Portugal! Ontem realizaram-se as eleições autárquicas. À boa maneira portuguesa, hoje há quem esfregue as mãos de contentamento, enquanto outros choram sobre o leite derramado! Como alguém disse no facebook, estas eleições são a maior distribuição de "tachos" da democracia portuguesa!

Today begins a new cycle in the life of the cities, towns and villages of Portugal! Yesterday the local elections took place. In the good Portuguese way, today there are those who rub their hands with joy, while others cry over spilled milk! As someone said on facebook, these elections are the biggest distribution of "gravy train" of Portuguese democracy!

Mas o maior "partido" continua a ser a abstenção, o meu "partido"! Acho que quem diz , ou resume o problema, da abstenção, a um "quem não é por mim, está contra mim", dizendo que os abstencionistas são contra a democracia! Não querendo, deste modo, olhar para dentro de si, partidos, enquanto organização de pessoas. Desconhecer as verdadeiras razões de quem não vota nesta democracia bipolar é querer e alimentar este situacionismo em que Portugal se encontra!

But the biggest "party" remains abstention, my "party"! I think that whoever says, or resume the problem, of abstention, to a "who is not for me is against me", saying that abstentionists are against democracy! Not wanting, in this way, to look inside itself, parties, as an organization of people. Not knowing the real reasons of those who don't vote in this bipolar democracy is to want and feed this situationism in which Portugal finds itself!

Eu acho que as pessoas devem dizer ao que vêm, eu sou abstencionista porque estou, não contra a democracia, mas contra a qualidade da democracia que temos, no fundo é dizer que se está contra a qualidade de quem nos representa, estas eleições demonstraram bem essa qualidade!! Medíocre! Salvo raras, muito raras excepções!

I think people should say what they come, I'm an abstentionist because I'm not against democracy, but against the quality of democracy that we have, basically it's saying that I'm against the quality of those who represent us, these elections showed well that quality!! Mediocre! Except rare, very rare exceptions!

Enquanto um partido não apresentar propostas sérias quanto ao enriquecimento ilícito, corrupção activa e passiva num quadro penal bastante pesado, nenhum partido terá o meu o voto! Enquanto o mérito não for o factor de escolha de pessoas e não o Nepotismo, nenhum partido terá o meu voto. Eu aposto que a maioria dos que ontem foram eleitos nem sabe o que significa Nepotismo... e todos o praticam! Sem esta reforma será sempre mais do mesmo!

As long as a party does not present serious proposals regarding illicit enrichment, active and passive corruption in a very heavy penal framework, no party will have my vote! As long as merit is not the factor of choice of people and not Nepotism, no party will have my vote. I bet most of those who were elected yesterday don't even know what Nepotism means... and they all practice it! Without this reform it will always be more of the same!

Votar é ser conivente com este situacionismo que atrasa Portugal e o põe de mão estendida para a Europa! Não me venham com a lavagem cerebral que votar é um dever, porque se é para falar em deveres, os políticos devem-nos muitas explicações. Mas sabem que mais? Hoje sinto-me muito bem!!

To vote is to be colluding with this situationism that delays Portugal and puts its hand extended to Europe! Don't brainwash me that to vote is a duty, because if it's to talk about duties, politicians owe us many explanations. But you know what? Today I feeling goooooood!!
