Olá! Bem-vindos a mais um fabuloso post dos Looks da Semana! Hoje, apresento-vos mais 5 looks que pretendem ser looks para usar na noite de passagem de ano! A cor escolhida é o branco. Inspirei-me nos looks das brasileiras que usam e abusam desta cor nesta noite de festa. E porquê? Por influência das religiões afro-brasileiras, esta cor simboliza a paz, pureza, renovação e a inocência e, mais ainda, a conexão com o divino. Como no Brasil é a época alta de calor, tive que fazer uma adaptação aos looks, pois em Poirtugal, na passagem do ano, é a época mais fria do ano, obviamente que os looks que apresento em branco são looks de Inverno e não looks de praia, claro! Espero que gostem tanto quanto eu!
Hello! Welcome to another fabulous post from Looks of the Week! Today, I present you with five more looks that are intended to be worn on New Year's Eve! The chosen colour is white. I was inspired by the looks of Brazilian women who wear and abuse this colour on this festive night. And why? Due to the influence of Afro-Brazilian religions, this colour symbolises peace, purity, renewal and innocence and, even more so, the connection with the divine. As it is the height of summer in Brazil, I had to adapt the looks, because in Portugal, New Year's Eve is the coldest time of the year, so obviously the white looks I present are winter looks and not beach looks, of course! I hope you like them as much as I do!

Este look bem poderia ser dedicado a Imenjá, a Rainha dos Mares, vestir branco é uma tradição brasileira, que revela o desejo pela paz e pela renovação! Deve-se oferecer flores e saltar 7 ondas. Bem, esta última não é possível, pois a água do mar em Portugal é gelada nesta época. Mas o meu objectivo é agradecer a Imenjá por me fazer ver o que está escondido há muitos anos.

Mas, ainda, a propósito da cor branca, que como disse é uma cor que simboliza a pureza, a paz, a inocência, vou contar-vos uma história da minha vida que se relaciona com o simbolismo desta cor. Esta história tem 20 anos e só recentemente percebi o seu significado. Portanto, nunca é tarde para percebermos porque determindas coisas nos acontecem na vida e nós não entendemos o porquê delas. Como este é o meu diário digital, quero que esta história fique aqui partilhada.
Então como disse, foi à 20 anos atrás, eu estava desempregada e doente, mas continuava na minha procura por um emprego. Foi então, que num jornal vi uma oferta de emprego publicitada por instituição ligada à Igreja Católica. Essa instituição é muito conhecida por ajudar os mais desfavorecidos e pessoas com carências económicas. O anúncio de emprego pedia uma pessoa para secretariar o Presidente dessa Instituição que no caso era padre. Eu respondi ao anúncio e fui seleccionada para a entrevista. Quando chegou esse dia, eu não fui à entrevista, pois eu sentia-me tão doente, que não tinha forças para desempenhar qualquer que fosse a função. Passados uns dias, recebo uma carta do Presidente dessa instituição a informar-me que só me queria a mim para o lugar e, caso eu não aceitasse o lugar não seria atribuido a mais nenhuma pessoa. Eu fiquei pasmada mas como estava tão doente nem dei importância à carta. Mas, só passados estes anos é que descubro a importância daquela carta, só agora é que percebi que aquela função era era exactamente para mim e só para mim. Não pensem que aquele padre tinha boas intenções para comigo, pelo o contrário, era uma armadilha, que neste momento não posso ainda desenvolver.
Mas, posso dizer a ele - não sei se ainda é vivo, nem me interessa - ao bispo da época e a todos que sabem esta história que rasguem as vestes de branco da pureza, que tomem um banho de criolina para lavar o corpo, porque a alma está tão suja, encardida e imunda com o pecado gravíssimo que cometeram contra mim. Eu ainda tenho de viver para contar esta barbaridade, crueldade, perversidade que foi e é cometida contra mim. Aos que já morreram espero que estejam a arder no inferno e aos vivos, o Universo encarregar-se-á de vocês, porque eu acredito nisso.

This story is 20 years old and I only recently realised its meaning. So, it is never too late to understand why certain things happen to us in life and we do not understand why. As this is my digital diary, I want to share this story here.
So, as I said, it was 20 years ago, I was unemployed and ill, but I was still looking for a job. It was then that I saw a job advertisement in a newspaper for an institution linked to the Catholic Church. This institution is well known for helping the most disadvantaged and people in financial need. The job advertisement was for a secretary to the President of this institution, who in this case was a priest. I responded to the advertisement and was selected for an interview. When the day came, I did not go to the interview because I felt so ill that I did not have the strength to perform any job. A few days later, I received a letter from the president of the institution informing me that he only wanted me for the position and that if I did not accept it, it would not be given to anyone else. I was stunned, but as I was so ill, I didn't pay any attention to the letter. However, it was only after all these years that I realised the importance of that letter. Only now do I understand that that job was exactly right for me and me alone. Don't think that the priest had good intentions towards me. On the contrary, it was a trap, which I cannot reveal at this time.
But I can say to him – I don't know if he's still alive, nor do I care – to the bishop at the time and to everyone who knows this story, that they should tear off their white robes of purity and take a bath in creolin to wash their bodies, because their souls are so dirty, stained and filthy with the grave sin they committed against me. I still have to live to tell of this barbarity, cruelty and wickedness that was and is being committed against me. To those who have already died, I hope they are burning in hell, and to those who are still alive, the Universe will take care of justice, because I believe in that.
