Look Nº 463 - Amazon Now!!

Tenho uma pergunta para vos fazer. Vocês não sentem que a Amazónia é um pouco vossa? Que se trata de uma jóia preciosa do planeta que extravasa as fronteiras dos países? Que por muito que o Presidente Bolsonaro diga que a Amazónia apenas diz respeito aos brasileiros, vocês não sentem que elaa está lá por vocês também, que faz parte do equilibrio do planeta Terra e, nesse sentido somos todos responsáveis por ela?

I have a question for you. Don't you feel that the Amazon is a little yours? Is this a precious jewel of the earth planet that goes beyond the countries borders? As much as President Bolsonaro says that the Amazon only concerns Brazilians, you don't feel that it is there for you either, which is part of the planet earth balance and in that sense we are all responsible for her?

 Este não é um post sobre política ou sobre políticos mas um post sobre sentimentos, sobre quais são os nossos sentimentos quando algo que nos "pertence" é atacado? A Amazónia é uma das mais importantes heranças que recebemos, cabe a nós defendê-la, ser a sua voz e, denunciar os interesses por detrás das queimadas que se fazem e nos fogos que a destróem actualmente.

This is not a post about politics or politicians but a post about feelings, about what our feelings are when something that "belongs" to us is attacked? The Amazon is one of the most important legacies we have received, it is up to us to defend it, to be its voice and to denounce the interests behind the burning that is being done and the fires that are destroying it today.

Eu não quero que a floresta Amazónia seja apenas uma pintura, que a sua lembrança seja perpetuada numa parede, eu quero uma Amazónia viva e com vida, com os seus animais, povos indígenas, com toda a sua fauna e flora intacta, para que as próximas gerações a possam receber com toda a sua riqueza, porque a floresta é que é a jóia preciosa e, não o que ela possa esconder no seu subsolo!! 

I don't want the Amazon rainforest to be just a painting that her memory will be perpetuated on a wall, I want a living and alive Amazon, with its animals, indigenous people, with all its fauna and flora intact, so that the next generations can receive it and in all its richness, because it is the forest that is the precious jewel, and not what it can hide underground !!

Temos de proteger a sua biodiversidade, é nossa responsabilidade, ergamos nossas vozes, responsabilizemos os criminosos implacavelmente! Não podemos baixar os braços e rezar e colocar hashtags #prayforamazonia, é hora de nos rebelarmos!!! Antes que seja tarde demais!!!

We have to protect its biodiversity, it is our responsibility, we raise our voices, we blame the criminals relentlessly! We can not lower our guard and pray and put hashtags #prayforamazonia, it's time to rebel !!! Before it's too late!!!
