Throughout the month, many Portuguese cities and towns celebrate municipal holidays associated with each saint, reinforcing the local character of these festivities. It is a time of revelry, reunions, dancing, with the famous popular marches that last until dawn, and national pride in these popular traditions. June is undoubtedly a month of great fun from the Portuguese people and you can eat the famous Portuguese sardines!
