Olá! Bem-vindos, meus caros amigos e leitores! Hoje, o meu pai se fosse vivo faria 82 anos. Este post vai ser a minha homenagem à sua memória. Vou fazê-lo de uma forma inusitada, mas à minha maneira de ser, que era muito semelhante à dele. O meu pai foi a pessoa mais inteligente que eu conheci e, sei que vai ficar orgulhoso, onde quer que se encontre, da maneira como o vou fazer. Para isso, fui visitar o Exploratório de Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra!

Hello! Welcome, my dear friends and readers! Today, my father would have turned 82, had he been alive. This post will be my tribute to his memory. I will do it in an unusual way, but in my own way, which was very similar to his. My father was the most intelligent person I ever knew, and I know he will be proud, wherever he is, of the way I am going to do it. To do this, I visited the Science Exploratory at the University of Coimbra!

A cientista /The scientist 

 

Então, recorrendo às recentes descobertas feitas no campo da Física Quântica, vou falar-vos de um novo tópico que está em discussão. É um tópico altamente especulativo e até filosófico, mas bastante interessante! A Física Quântica faz-nos pensar numa nova concepção da variável tempo e da matéria! Penso, até, que são revolucionárias todas as teorias e hipóteses levantadas por esta ciência. 

So, drawing on recent discoveries in the field of quantum physics, I am going to talk to you about a new topic that is currently under discussion. It is a highly speculative and even philosophical topic, but a very interesting one! Quantum physics makes us think about a new conception of the variables of time and matter! I even think that all the theories and hypotheses put forward by this science are revolutionary.

O Universo no cérebro / The Universe in the brain 

Para perceberem melhor, a variável tempo é linear, isto é, é sequencial, dou-vos um exemplo, na semana temos: Segunda, Terça, Quarta, Quinta, Sexta, Sábado, Domingo, sempre nesta ordem, ou seja, a quarta nunca pode ser vivida antes da Terça e a Terça nunca pode ser vivida antes da Segunda. Na Física Quântica isto que acabei de explicar, pode não ser assim! Esta hipótese que foi colocada e, que mais uma vez digo que é altamente especulativa, é a de que as intuições/sensações que nós temos são memórias do futuro! O que implica que a variável tempo não seja linear!

To better understand this, the time variable is linear, that is, it is sequential. Let me give you an example: in a week, we have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, always in that order. In other words, Wednesday can never be experienced before Tuesday, and Tuesday can never be experienced before Monday. In quantum physics, what I have just explained may not be the case! This hypothesis, which I repeat is highly speculative, is that the intuitions/sensations we have are memories of the future! This implies that the time variable is not linear!

 Mas, memórias? A palavra memória remete-nos para um tempo passado, como assim, memórias do futuro? Tudo se passa ao nível na nossa consciência, As neurociências explicam este fenómeno das intuições ou feelings como sendo o nosso subconsciente a analisar eventos passados e semelhantes, aprende com eles e, como que nos avisa, nos dá a informação, ou o sinal, em forma de intuição. Quando dizemos: "espera aí, estou com um feeling que não posso fazer isso, algo me diz que o caminho não é esse". Isto é a nossa intuição a avisar-nos!

 But memories? The word memory refers to the past, so what do we mean by memories of the future? Everything happens at the level of our consciousness. Neuroscience explains this phenomenon of intuitions or gut feelings as our subconscious analysing past and similar events, learning from them and, as if warning us, giving us information, or a signal, in the form of intuition. When we say, ‘Wait a minute, I have a feeling that I can't do that, something tells me that this is not the right path,’ this is our intuition warning us!

A nova hipótese dessa intuição/feeling ser uma memória do futuro, põe a hipótese do tempo ser uma variável não linear e tudo isso é uma grande revolução. A consciência lembrar-se de eventos futuros, que ainda não aconteceram pode levantar a hipótese das viagens no tempo! Revolucionário, não vos parece!

The new hypothesis that this intuition/feeling is a memory of the future calls the hypothesis that time is a non-linear variable, and all of this is a major revolution. Consciousness remembering future events that have not yet happened could raise the possibility of time travel! Revolutionary, don't you think?

 

Agora, só falta provar ou demonstrar que esta teoria é verdadeira, que é o que vou já fazer com um exemplo. A minha mãe, desde solteira, tinha um sonho que era recorrente, sonhava que estava a cair num poço de água. Era um pesadelo que a atormentava, porque lhe parecia tão real que ficava completamente exausta. Este sonho ou pesadelo continuou durante a sua vida de casada. Para quem não sabe, o meu pai suicidou-se, atirando-se para dentro de um poço! A partir desta data a minha mãe nunca mais teve este sonho/pesadelo! Pelo que deduzo que a consciência da minha mãe tinha, de alguma forma, informação deste evento futuro!

Now, all that remains is to prove or demonstrate that this theory is true, which I will do with an example. Since she was single, my mother had a recurring dream in which she was falling into a well. It was a nightmare that tormented her because it seemed so real that she was completely exhausted. This dream or nightmare continued throughout her married life. For those who don't know, my father committed suicide by throwing himself into a well! From that day on, my mother never had this dream/nightmare again! From this, I deduce that my mother's consciousness somehow had information about this future event in her life!

Nada disto está provado, apenas por mim! É um assunto bastante interessante e acho que era desta forma, recorrendo ao conhecimento, que o meu pai gostaria que eu o homenageasse!
