Hello! Welcome to another fabulous post from Looks of the Week! In recent days, Portugal has been experiencing the drama of forest fires, from north to south, with many fires out of control. High temperatures and strong winds have created the conditions for a hellish scenario. Families are exhausted, protecting their possessions and animals, in a scene that breaks the heart. Year after year, this calamity repeats itself. Some say, and I share this opinion, that many of these fires are the result of arson. This suspicion increases the feeling of impunity. But today, as hard as it may be, let's change the subject, not forgetting what is happening, but to bring hope in the midst of this chaos. Here are 5 looks to spark your imagination, chosen with care to inspire you and show you that fashion can also be therapeutic, calming the mind and conveying good feelings!

Just thinking that this blouse is from 2014 and looks like new, I am amazed at how time flies. And it's only been, lol, 11 years!!! Which proves that fashion is cyclical and that there's nothing wrong with wearing it just because it's not from this year's collection!
Olá! Bem-vindos meus caros leitores e amigos!
Hello! Welcome, dear readers and friends! Recently, bullfighter Marco Tenório Bastinhas surprised his followers by announcing on social media that he would not be participating in any bullfights this season. The decision is not related to professional or physical issues, but rather to a much deeper and more sensitive reason. The bullfighter revealed that he is facing deep depression, admitting that he has had suicidal thoughts.
At first glance, it may seem like a bitter irony. A man accustomed to facing the fierce bull in the arena with skill and courage shows himself to be vulnerable in the face of an invisible enemy. However, this apparent contradiction reveals an essential truth: strength does not lie in never falling, but in recognising when you need help!
Marco Tenório Bastinhas belongs to one of Portugal's best-known and wealthiest families, proving that mental health does not choose its victims based on social status, wealth or appearance. Depression is not a lack of desire to work. It is a serious, incapacitating and painful illness that can cause people to lose their will to live.
Marco's courage in exposing his vulnerability is a giant step towards ending the silence and stigma surrounding mental illness. By recognising that something is wrong and asking for help, he sets a valuable example: the road to recovery begins with acceptance and asking for help.
I wish Marco, during this break, a speedy recovery, and that his story reminds us that the most difficult battle is often the one we fight within ourselves!
Hello! Welcome to another fabulous post from Looks of the Week! The statistics on domestic violence in Portugal are terrible. Year after year, reports multiply of women being assaulted, humiliated, persecuted and silenced within their own homes, for years on end. Unfortunately, for some, the end result is the worst possible: death at the hands of their husbands or partners. In my opinion, the current legislation is too lenient. The judicial response is too slow and ends up being complicit with the aggressor. Let me say something clearly: any man who beats or kills a woman is nothing more than a coward, a macho bully. The disproportionate use of force is glaring, and this is not only about domestic violence!!! But changing the mood of this post, let's talk about beautiful things! Because all women deserve to feel good, confident and stunning, here are 5 wonderful looks to shine throughout the week. Be inspired!

Hello, dear readers and friends, how have you been? Lately, I have felt that someone has been trying to take away what is most pure and valuable to me: my sanity and my smile. It's as if, suddenly, they had cast a spell on me, as if they had tried to extinguish my sparkle.
I decided to smile every day, a genuine smile: one that comes from within, lights up your eyes and, above all, reminds us why life is worth living. After all, a blogger who doesn't smile isn't helping or giving hope to those who read my posts with affection.
Life is a gift, even when it doesn't seem like it. It is on dark days that we realise the value of a ray of sunshine. It is in heavy silence that we learn to listen to what really matters. We must take a deep breath, untie the knots we have created in our rush to please, and release the weight we have tied to our feet. Weight that was not ours, but empty criticism, the expectations of others, frustrations projected onto me.
Prefiro gastar a minha energia a criar, a viver, a inspirar quem realmente gosta de mim.I will always have haters. It is the inevitable price of exposing myself, of sharing photos and words on a blog. But I realise, more and more, that haters are not talking about me - they are talking about their own pain, insecurities and fears. Life is too short to be distracted by that. I prefer to spend my energy creating, living, inspiring those who really like me.
Life always surprises us with the people it puts in our path: some to challenge us, others to lift us up, others to knock us down, and there have been many in my life. I believe that time is the best filter: it always ends up revealing who stays with us, who gives us a hand, who really matters.
Now, all I want is to look back at my photos with pride, to see not only the clothes I chose, but I want each look to tell a story of courage and each photo to be more than just a pretty picture, but to have soul!
Firstly, I want to smile at myself, because no one can take that smile away from me – it comes from self-love, from accepting my scars and from gratitude for the path I have been on. And that smile is to inspire you, because only then does everything make sense. Because in the end, sharing is not just about showing who we are, it is about reminding those who read us that they too can choose to start over, they too can choose to smile. So, my smile is back. Not because everything is perfect, but because I decided not to give it up.

Hello! How have you been? Every year, when this time of year comes around, there is something that never fails to appear here on the blog: photos on bales of straw. I already consider this photo shoot a classic feature of this blog. A tradition that started as a joke and, over time and as the years have passed, has gained meaning and become an essential part of our summer photos!
I like to think that these bales, scattered randomly across the field, hold more than just straw: they hold stories, memories of everything we have experienced. It is as if, throughout the year, we were sowing small moments, which in the end result in a great harvest of memories. It is a beautiful metaphor, don't you think?
It is this idea that enchants me: realising that, even in the most difficult years, we always have something to reap. An unexpected laugh, a warm hug, a new project, a reunion, an inner discovery. And all of this is stored away, like a harvest, in this annual ritual of photographing among the bales, on fertile ground!
Every year, with each new session, I am not exactly the same as before. But the setting remains, as a testament to the passage of time. And perhaps that is what I like most about this tradition: remembering that, despite the changes, my essence remains the same!
May these photos be, once again, the result of what I planted, lived and harvested throughout the year: and an invitation to all of us to reflect on what we have also been storing in our memories.
