Look Nº 560 - The Pandemic Diary!

For nose surgery, I had to do the Covid test again, this time it was at the Figueira da Foz hospital. Very poorly organized. People all together waiting to do the test, a lady organizing people and touching everyone with her hands! The exam is done inside a closed container with no air circulation and, more serious, people all sit in the same chair!!

I couldn't do the nose test, for obvious reasons, and they didn't want me to do the throat test, as I always refused, because it was impossible to do it on my nose, because it was all blocked, they agreed and did it on the throat, they didn’t use a spatula to compress the tongue and it was with the swab, for me it was a badly test and I don’t even know if they caught anything.

At the Santo António hospital in OPorto is an example of how to do the test in the correct way. We go by car into an open tent, without getting out of the car, they test us, in my case and, as I said, it was in the throat, they used a spatula to compress the tongue and go with the swab right at the bottom of the throat!! This is how risks are minimized, now at Figueira da Foz hospital, that container can be a focus of transmission of the disease, our luck is that our city has been spared to this plague!!! And have you already been tested for Covid? Tell me everything in the comments, I'm curious to know!!!

  7. Oh, I'm sorry you had such a bad testing experience this time! I agree- doing it in an enclosed space seems really dangerous!

  10. What a fun jumpsuit! :) It's a shame you've had to have so many tests! I prefer the drive through test places too. I had to have a test done when I caught a cold from the kids recently, not fun but better to be safe and it was good to know that I didn't have to worry about passing anything bad onto anyone!

Hope that you are having a nice week :)

  12. That sounds like an unpleasant and even dangerous experience. I haven't gone to get tested, but my husband has and it was by appointment so he was the only one at the office during his test.

  15. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I wasn't able to arrange a meeting with my specialist at all. I'm supposed to do regular check ups every two months, the last check up I had was more than six months ago. I spend several days calling the hospital, nobody answers the phone and they don't reply to emails. I will probably have to pay to see a doctor privately. Nobody does anything because of corona. It is ridiculous. We don't even have many cases here in Croatia, it's no reason to shot down hospitals.

You look stunning in this jumpsuit!

  17. Wow, so sorry to hear. My sister is a nurse and we also have doctors in the family and they always tell me so many stories since covid-19. I just hope people are able to get tested when possible but also abide by rules. Love your outfit. x
