Look Nº 697 - Runaway Train!

Hello everyone! This place, where I find myself, is special to me because it reminds me of the transition from childhood to adolescence! To understand its meaning I will have to go back in time! So that's how it is, I went to primary school in my village, at the end of this chapter I decided that I wanted to go to the city of Figueira da Foz to study! And, this is where the great adventure begins!!

We were in the 80s, Portugal was a very backward country in terms of economic development and public transport was a mirror of that reality! Now that you are situated in time, I can begin to tell you what an adventure it was for a 10-year-old child to leave a small village and reach the big city! It doesn't even cross your mind!

This 10-year-old child had to get out of bed at 5:30 am to go to the train, but before reaching the train station, he had to walk for about 1 km! The train passed at my station at 6:40 am, as you can see, it was very early, for that reason we called the train "The bite" (of course because it bite everyone at that hour!!!). We arrived at the city of Figueira da Foz at 7:00 am!

Oh yes!

I arrive at Figueira da Foz at 7:00 am, my classes only started at 8:30 am, what to do on that yacht? Easy, from the train station in Figueira da Foz to the new school, I had, once again, to walk more than 2 km!! On this route to the new school, this place where I am was a stopover for some children's games, that's why I have such great memories of it! When I sat in my chair for the 1st class of the day I had already run the marathon!! Oh yes!

Regarding the photos, these were lost here in the blog's archive, don't think that in December in Portugal you can walk without tights on the street! These photos were taken in October on a beautiful sunny day, but with a lot of wind, as you can see from my hair ahah!! Don't you think my coat matches with my train The Bite?
