"Now I can tell you about success, about fame
About the rise and the fall of all the stars in the sky"
Trata-se da música "Let it will be"!
Yesterday the legislative elections were held - finally - in Portugal! The campaigns, the debates on TV between the various candidates gave us an idea - vague - about the electoral program of each one! But as you may already know here on the blog I try to find a song that fits with these important moments of my life or the life of my country! This time the soundtrack of this post is a song by Madonna that is not one of the best known, but whose lyrics and choreography fit perfectly in what was the electoral campaign! It's about the song "Let it will be"!
Talking about Portugal and its history is precisely that, between ups and downs, the History of Portugal is fruitful in moments like these with that spirit of Let it will be! But we have reached a point of no return, it is not possible to live with the tax burden imposed on us, this yoke is suffocating the Portuguese, obviously those who pay taxes. It is urgent to change the paradigm, it's not possible to delay further in economic terms. Corruption and the corrupt have to feel the heavy hand of Justice and be ruthlessly put in prison, but I still don't see this explicit will in electoral programs!
"Now I can see things for what they really are
I guess I'm not that far
I'm at the point of no return
Just watch me ⟦Portugal⟧ burn!"

You look incredible in that fabulous green dress! Politics is very frustrating - it is bad here in the UK, ever since the Brexit referendum things have gone downhill sharply. I'm really pleased to have found your blog - both because I love your style and also because I've been trying to learn European Portuguese. Most language apps only teach Brazilian. My dad lives between France and Madeira and I'd love to be able to converse in Portuguese when I visit, so having both languages to compare is really useful!
