Look Nº 793 - Moral Crossroads!

Olá! Como têm passado? Desculpem-me o atrevimento, isto é um blog de moda, mas eu tenho de falar nisto, a minha consciência obriga-me! À medida que o calor abrasador de Outubro arrasa Portugal, somos confrontados com uma verdade desconfortável: as alterações climáticas não são meramente conceitos distantes, mas uma realidade que toca as nossas vidas diárias. O clima imprevisível reflecte não apenas uma mudança meteorológica, mas uma metamorfose profunda no nosso planeta, resultante de décadas de acções humanas. Por mais louco que possa parecer este é um look de Outubro de 2023, garanto-vos que poderia ter vestido, em vez das calças, uns calções, estava um calor tórrido neste dia, o meu carro marcava 35ºC à sombra!

Hello, how have you been? Excuse me for being so bold, this is a fashion blog, but I have to talk about this! My conscience compels me! As the scorching October heat ravages Portugal, we are confronted with an uncomfortable truth: climate change is not merely a distant concept, but a reality that touches our daily lives. The unpredictable climate reflects not just a meteorological change, but a profound metamorphosis on our planet, resulting from decades of human actions. As crazy as it may sound, this is a look from October 2023, I assure you I could have worn shorts instead of trousers, it was scorching hot that day, my car told me it was 35ºC in the shade!

Enquanto as temperaturas superam os 30 graus, a natureza envia-nos um sinal claro que algo está profundamente desequilibrado. Este não é um fenómeno isolado, mas um eco de um desgaste contínuo  dos nossos recursos naturais e do desrespeito pela delicada harmonia que mantém o nosso querido planeta!

 

 As temperatures rise above 30 degrees, nature is sending us a clear signal that something is deeply out of balance. This is not an isolated phenomenon, but an echo of the continuous wear and tear on our natural resources and the lack of respect for the delicate harmony that sustains our beloved planet!

Este não é meramente um problema ambiental, mas uma crise social que afecta desproporcionalmente os mais vulneráveis. É uma chamada à acção que transcende fronteiras e exige responsabilidade colectiva!

 

This is not merely an environmental problem, but a social crisis that disproportionately affects the most vulnerable. It's a call to action that transcends borders and demands collective responsibility!

As alterações climáticas conduziram-nos a uma encruzilhada moral. As nossas decisões presentes moldarão o futuro do clima e, por conseguinte, o destino das próximas gerações. É hora de repensarmos o nosso relacionamento com o planeta e de adoptarmos prácticas mais sustentáveis. O desafio é monstruoso: um futuro onde o calor de Outubro  em Portugal não possa ser a norma, mas a excepção!

 

Climate change has brought us to a moral crossroads. Our present decisions will shape the future of the climate and therefore the fate of generations to come. It's time to rethink our relationship with the planet and adopt more sustainable practices. The challenge is monstrous: a future where October heat in Portugal cannot be the norm, but the exception!

Estes activistas do Clima, pintaram com tinta vermelha um quadro de Picasso no Centro Cultural de Belém em Portugal como forma de protesto. Meninos mimados isto é selvajaria cultural, isto não é diferente daquilo que o Estado Islâmico fez com Palmira na Síria, isto NÃO!!! Isto não é lutar pelo clima, isto é ignorância do mais elevado grau! 

These climate activists painted a Picasso painting in the Belém Cultural Centre in Portugal with red paint in protest. Spoilt children, this is cultural savagery, this is no different to what the Islamic State (ISIS) did to Palmira in Syria, NO to this!!! This is not climate fighting, this is ignorance of the highest degree!
