Bem-vindos meus caros amigos e leitores!
Welcome, my dear friends and readers! Today I bring you to a very Instagrammable place. It's not the first time I've photographed here, but as you can imagine for a blog that's 12 years old, it's not easy to find new places to photograph. You can see here and here the posts that were photographed in this beautiful spot by the Atlantic!
Speaking of instagrammable spots, I want to tell you about another social network: Instagram! For me, Instagram is like chewing gum - you chew it and throw it away! I don't have the patience to look for followers, comment with emojis on posts just to get the same kind of comments and thus increase what they call engagement.
This word has become a kind of golden cow for instagrammers. This engagement is nothing more than a process that requires enormous dedication, time that I don't have and don't want to invest. What's more, many instagrammers go so far as to buy followers to inflate their accounts in a practice that I consider to be dishonest, totally wrong and that undermines the purpose of connecting with real people, that's not for me, I'm contacted every day by people who want to sell me followers created with AI. Not to mention the risk of your account being cancelled!
Gosto ver a minha evolução, tanto no estilo, cabelo, idade!
I use Instagram for one reason only: I like to see my photos organised in squares, lined up in a gallery over time. I like to see my evolution, in terms of style, hair and age! But that's it. What I really like is posting on my blog, where I can share my stories in a more detailed and artistic way, without being dependent on that feeling/obligation to be engaged throughout the day. I don't want that slavery for myself!
The truth is that Instagram creates a culture of appearances and often feeds behaviour that bothers me. They'll do anything just to get another follower. That's why I prefer to invest my time in something that I consider to be more lasting and genuine, like writing on my blog, without getting into this endless and ultimately pointless race!
Of course there are people I like to follow on Instagram, some who inspire me, others for their originality, but never from the point of view of having a huge number of followers, whoever is with me is because they like me and what I post. Most of the time I even lose followers, but as I've already said, I get more and more visits to my profile, which says a lot about people's behaviour on this social network! Are you addicted to Instagram?
Estas muy elegante. Te mando un beso.
ResponderEliminarI love the place!! It looks so peacefull and the fact that you chose a sunny day, makes everything so wonderful.
ResponderEliminarAnd I looooove your shoes. They are stunning.

I am really not a fan of Instagram, either. It is a bit of scrolling and tidious at times, and I feel I don't know anyone, really. Staying this, I have two Instagram accounts accidentally. Mostly mine is for my Barbie doll photography. But even then, you don't know what you might run into. Barbie dolls having sex wasn't exactly what I came for.
ResponderEliminarI continue with blogger, I like the bloggers I have met and I like the idea of seeing their posts and stories. I liked what you said about those little squares on Instagram. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for the beautiful post. I'm glad you are here. Such wonderful photos and I love this outfit, too. Thanks for your comments too.
I want to follow you and see your Barbie photos.
EliminarI suggest that you learn English first!
EliminarPara mim ainda substitui o blog!

I’m on Instagram. I can’t say that I haven’t fallen in the trap at times. I added another account for my blog followers to have a better link to the blog. I miss old school blogging.

Hello Marissa! I've found you through Andrea's 50 Looks of Love T. blog. I couldn't agree more about Instagram, I tried it for a while but it lacked soul, I want more than pretty pictures, I like to know about the person behind the outfit - I've written my blog for 15 years and have met so many fabulous women through it.
ResponderEliminarI love the shape of that jacket and the location is stunning. Love from Vix in the UK x
Um local lindo e um look super elegante.
ResponderEliminarQuanto ao Instagram raramente lá vou.
Beijinhos
I prefer blogs to Instagram. I don't even have an Instagram profile anymore.
ResponderEliminarBlogs are more interesting to me, there's a lot more to read and see.
I love your styling.
The statement sleeves are very chic.
The location is stunning!!!!!!!!
ResponderEliminarI love this jacket and the whole look. And how cool to shoot the beach. I know what you mean about IG. It really is exhausting I prefer blogs and YouTube. They are more like eating a good meal while IG and TT is like eating candy... there is only so much of it you can eat.

Couldn't agree with you more on Instagram. We tried using it for our carpet cleaning business and really found out quickly that it really wasn't for us. As a family, we love seeing our photos laid out in a grid to see the passage of times. Just like you! But as a business, it was quickly becoming dark trying to get more and more likes and follows that would hopefully lead to some jobs.
