Hello and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post. I stumbled across a concept, which is becoming the theme of 2024, and that is Brain Rot. Have you heard of it? It has to do with the life we lead, causing our brains, in the age of hyperconnectivity, to be exposed to unstimulating topics for hours at a time. This brain rot happens gradually, it's not something sudden. It all starts with the excessive consumption of hours of superficial content, meaningless discussions, algorithms dictating what's important. Little by little, our ability to concentrate diminishes, our critical sense weakens and so the brain begins to waste away.
To combat all this, I propose 5 looks to activate your neurons with creativity and stimulating content. After all, fashion may not save the world, but it can certainly save our brains!
SEGUNDA / MONDAY
From a vernissage to a casual look, fashion is made up of choices. Sometimes we think we don't have the clothes to go somewhere fancy and yet that dress we have in the wardrobe is perfectly fine with the right accessories to look hyper elegant. Clear up your doubts with this match-up.
TERÇA / TUESDAY
QUARTA / WEDNESDAY
QUINTA / THURSDAY
This dress from 2020 has only been worn a couple of times, because I didn't like the exaggerated length of it, so this year I persuaded my mum to cut off one of the frills. It turned out to be a midi dress and much more wearable. What do you think?
SEXTA / FRIDAY

Lindos atuendos. Me gusto el del lunes. Te mando un beso.
ResponderEliminarHi Marisa! How are you doing?
ResponderEliminarI really like all of these looks.
If I had to pick a favourite...maybe the red dress with frills.
I agree it's more wearable as a midi.
Maxis are fun, but midis are easier to wear- and they always look so chic.
I also like your all pink styling with the matching top and pants.
As they say, pretty in pink.
I do like a bit of a Barbie vibe.
The first look is also very elegant- and I enjoyed seeing how you styled it before.
The simplicity of colours in the first outfit, black, white and beige is so timeless.
Finally, the topic of your post is very interesting.
Brain rot is really and there's danger in becoming dependent on stimulus.
We need to keep our brains alternating between being focused on tasks and relaxing.
Consuming things for short term enjoyment and shallow materials rots the brain.
We need to do thing that require focus.
However, rest is also important. Real quality rest like meditation or sleeping.
These days we are all too stimulated. We're bombarded with bad news.
At the end of the day, do we need all that information?
We need to leave space for being daughters, friends, women, family members.
We cannot care for everything that happens in the world.
We need to focus on our friends and/or family, build quality and healthy relationship.
And we need to take care of ourselves, so we can take care of others.
I like Thursday's styling the most. I definitely like this year's version more.
ResponderEliminarI think it's due to the accessories, especially the shoes, which enhanced the look perfectly.
Regards
Talvez o primeiro!

I was taken by your outfit, everything is beautiful, but the coolest and the best is your red dress: midi, maxi - it doesn't matter, it's gorgeous in every version, I love red dresses!
