Look Nº 873 - The President's favor!

Hello, how have you been, my dear friends and readers? The subject of this post is proof that not everything is as it seems. I've already talked about this subject in this post. To remind you, last year a controversy arose in the media around our President of the Republic, accusing him of favoring a Brazilian woman who was seeking urgent medical help in Portugal for her twin daughters, both of whom had a serious illness.

Here's what happened: The mother of these girls wrote an e-mail to our President, who forwarded it to the Prime Minister of the time, who in turn forwarded it to the Minister of Health. The result? Her daughters managed to get an appointment at a Portuguese hospital. Our President was accused of having favored this Brazilian citizen.

Engano meu!!!

This story took on a special meaning when I found myself in a similar situation. As you know, I suffer from a serious illness and recently faced a problem with a medication I depend on. In desperation, I decided to write to our President of the Republic, hoping that perhaps someone would care about my situation. I confess that, deep down, I thought the letter would be archived. My mistake!

Last week I received an email from the Prime Minister's Office! My letter was forwarded by the President to the PM's office and from there to the Ministry of Health. Just like the Brazilian mother. I received exactly the same treatment, the same correspondence route, the same institutional attention.

Now I'm waiting with hope for the situation to unfold. But regardless of the outcome, one thing is clear to me: our President responded, he listened, he acted. And if that's cause for criticism, perhaps we should rethink what we expect from those who represent us. Because, at the end of the day, isn't that what politics is all about: looking after people?

  5. First of all, you look so beautiful in this white and red styling. This is such a polished look! The red lace pants are just stunning and the red shoes and jacket match them so well. The white blouse is perfect with this look.

You do have a point as well. The president forwarding an email of someone who has a medical problem is hardly the cause for criticism. As you say, that's the point of a president or any public service- to provide service to its citizens.

I hope your situation will be resolved quickly. I know how hard it is having an immune illness and struggling with getting the therapy. As I change jobs, I sometimes change my medical insurance, and it can be very stressful as I sometimes need to wait weeks or even months for the therapy I really need to stay alive. But it is not the doctors fault, it is the system sometimes. The paperwork can be so slow. Life is hard!

  13. It really highlights an important point: not everything is always as it appears in the media, and sometimes, it takes a closer look to understand the full picture. It’s reassuring to know that your letter was given the same care and attention as others. I love your shoes. It is so cute.

OBRIGADA.
    Gostei do look!
    .
