Hello, welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! I wanted to ask you if you've seen host Cristina Ferreira's advert on TV? She's promoting some pills that, according to her, strengthen the hair, improve the nails and make the skin more beautiful. But my question is: Does Cristina's image reflect what these pills promise? Cristina is the most influential woman on Portuguese TV and she looks stunning in this advert. But we all know she uses extensions to get that volume, especially as we know she suffers from hair loss and her hair is quite thin. So is it honest to promote a hair-strengthening product using an image that relies on hair extensions? This is creating an illusion and a false expectation in people, it's a commercial strategy whose credibility raises many doubts, don't you think? My friends, you have to be vigilant! But if you like to see beautiful hair, you can have 6 different looks, hair and clothes, without any kind of artifice! Let's face it, if there was a miracle product for hair loss there wouldn't be any bald people!!! My friends, here are my beauty pills, in the form of photos and visual administration, to inspire you for next week!

As for this look, in which I'm re-styling a t-shirt, I'll tell you right now that it's not my favourite, I even think the 2018 look is prettier, to be honest. But for those who think a t-shirt is a super cool look, that's not my opinion, and what's more, I don't think it's elegant at all. But here are two looks for those who need a T-shirt in their wardrobe! Get inspired and preferably choose a very original T-shirt, like this one!

This blouse you see in the photos is much older than the 2018 photo, in fact it wasn't a blouse at all, but a dress. A dress that had a little accident. It got caught in a door and ripped, but as I think the embroidery is so beautiful and it was a shame to lose the dress, I cut it up and made this beautiful blouse out of it! It's timelessly beautiful and I'll be wearing it many, many times! What do you think of this recycling?

Bem-vindos meus caros amigos e leitores!
Welcome, my dear friends and readers! Today I bring you to a very Instagrammable place. It's not the first time I've photographed here, but as you can imagine for a blog that's 12 years old, it's not easy to find new places to photograph. You can see here and here the posts that were photographed in this beautiful spot by the Atlantic!
Speaking of instagrammable spots, I want to tell you about another social network: Instagram! For me, Instagram is like chewing gum - you chew it and throw it away! I don't have the patience to look for followers, comment with emojis on posts just to get the same kind of comments and thus increase what they call engagement.
This word has become a kind of golden cow for instagrammers. This engagement is nothing more than a process that requires enormous dedication, time that I don't have and don't want to invest. What's more, many instagrammers go so far as to buy followers to inflate their accounts in a practice that I consider to be dishonest, totally wrong and that undermines the purpose of connecting with real people, that's not for me, I'm contacted every day by people who want to sell me followers created with AI. Not to mention the risk of your account being cancelled!
Gosto ver a minha evolução, tanto no estilo, cabelo, idade!
I use Instagram for one reason only: I like to see my photos organised in squares, lined up in a gallery over time. I like to see my evolution, in terms of style, hair and age! But that's it. What I really like is posting on my blog, where I can share my stories in a more detailed and artistic way, without being dependent on that feeling/obligation to be engaged throughout the day. I don't want that slavery for myself!
The truth is that Instagram creates a culture of appearances and often feeds behaviour that bothers me. They'll do anything just to get another follower. That's why I prefer to invest my time in something that I consider to be more lasting and genuine, like writing on my blog, without getting into this endless and ultimately pointless race!
Of course there are people I like to follow on Instagram, some who inspire me, others for their originality, but never from the point of view of having a huge number of followers, whoever is with me is because they like me and what I post. Most of the time I even lose followers, but as I've already said, I get more and more visits to my profile, which says a lot about people's behaviour on this social network! Are you addicted to Instagram?
Hello and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! I'm a bit sad and disappointed in myself, because I don't think these looks are as wow-worthy as usual! I don't know if it's because the autumn light isn't as bright as the summer light, I don't know if it's because the tree is bare of leaves, I don't know if it's because autumn clothes don't have the brightness of summer clothes. I don't know! All I know is that I didn't really like these looks I photographed! And in one week the world has changed, I don't know if for the better, we have Trump ruling the United States and part of the Western world. Let's see what happens to the world and the wars. He had solutions for everything, now we'll see what he comes up with in practice! I'm curious and afraid at the same time. Other winds will blow, but I hope they don't turn into storms! But to put all this behind us, here are 6 looks to inspire you and breathe in the air of change!

I wore this dress to my aunt's 80th birthday party. I was wearing the orthopaedic boot and I don't even want to think that I wore it for nine months! I remember the party was in February and after a week the world stopped, a pandemic started, something I never thought I'd experience. Those were difficult times! It makes me wonder what else I have to live through, a war? An earthquake? No, God please dispel these thoughts!

Hello my dear friends and readers, welcome to another fantastic post! I recently visited the newest museum in Cantanhede, now the Museum of Art and Collecting, formerly the Stone Museum - I visited it in this post - I want to tell you that I was completely surprised by the variety and richness of the collections on display. The themes are so different that you feel like you're on a journey through the art and culture of various countries in the form of collections. I invite you to come and visit with me, come along!
Among the collections, I found a bit of everything: lighters, coffee cups, vinyl records, VHS tapes, glasses, kinder egg toys, clocks, etc. Only part of the collections are displayed in the showcases, the rest are all in the museum archives. But also art, antique furniture, sacred art, embroidery from various countries, old coins, stamps, old correspondence! Believe me, there are many more collections I haven't mentioned!

As you know, I love embroidery, and what I loved most were the embroidery pictures, which look like real paintings from all over the world. For me, it was the best thing about the museum!
The visit to the museum culminates in a very cosy café area, perfect for those who want to prolong the experience. And the croissants... pure deliciousness! It's a comfortable, light space where you can enjoy the atmosphere and recharge after your visit to the museum! 5 stars!!!

This museum led me to reflect on the concept of collecting. I thought about what kind of collection I could create. After all, collecting is about preserving little bits of our world. I realised that I already have a collection - even if it is ‘ironically’ of rivals! The curious thing is that I honestly don't know what makes so many people envious of me. I don't have a fortune or any valuable material possessions, I'm ill and I live with my mum. I always have my company, which I've always valued. Can you believe that every time I post a photo on Instagram I lose a follower, but I get more and more visits to my profile! I don't know what stirs up all this resentment/hate against me!
The Museum of Collecting made me realise how exciting it is to have a collection. And standing there with all those objects collected over a lifetime, I felt that collecting is a way of standing the test of time. I left there inspired, thinking that regardless of the ‘rivals’ that life brings us, a collection is a reflection of what we love and want to preserve, and preserving our mental health is the best thing we can do for ourselves and get away from these toxic people. Can you believe I can't leave my car parked in my street because it gets vandalised, I have to put it in the garage as soon as I get home!!!
Finally, I must introduce you to the patrons of this museum: all these collections are part of the collection that was given to the museum by the medical couple, Dr Liliana and Dr Cândido Ferreira. Their whole lives were spent building these collections. They were compulsive collectors! Curiously, and without knowing it, I was friends with Dr Cândido on Facebook, because he was a person who fought hard for respect for human rights! If you get the chance, visit this museum, I guarantee you'll be surprised!
