Look Nº 741 - True Colors!

Hello!! How are you doing? I've had a story to tell you for a long time, as I have no other topic to talk about and, not wanting to refer to this interminable war that affects us all, I'll stick with that story. All this to say that there are doctors who are insensitive in the exercise of their profession and, even more serious, when it comes to psychiatrists!

When I was sick I went to a psychiatric emergency room at the HUC hospital in Coimbra, I was treated by a doctor who apparently has some reputation in the city. I, who have a computer memory for names and faces, have never forgotten him and, even today, more than 15 years later, I can recognize him if I see him, all I know is that his name is Bajouco!

Ele pergunta-me qual era o meu problema.

The scene is this, whoever goes to an emergency of this type is because is very sick, this doctor had in front of him a destroyed person, crying, any doctor of any specialty could see that that person was in great suffering. He asks me what my problem was. I lied to him and said I was depressed because I had been unemployed for a long time. That is, I didn't tell him that I lived in a parallel reality with many coincidences that haunted me. Now, this doctor, SEEING how the person presented himself in front of him, with all the study that I assume he has on psychiatry, tells me this: "But if you don't get a job in Portugal, you can always emigrate!!!" I was overwhelmed by my pain, I felt like choking him with my bare hands and saying to him "but can't you see that I'm not well? Isn't that notorious??"

What I expected to hear was something like this: "Look, you first have to get treated, get well, and then if you can't find a job here, you can think about going to another country, but now you're not in a position to do that!" It could have been something more like a psychiatrist and not so much the orthopedic butcher!! He managed to understand that I needed a very strong medication, but that I didn't need to hear what he said, which only worsened my condition!! It's true, I went to an emergency room and left there even sicker!!

If he saw me now he wouldn't even believe I was that person! But changing the subject now, you have no idea how many photos I took to get these photos in this position, we laugh so much!!! I had already seen this on another blog and had already tried, but only these passed my quality control sieve hahaha!! I wanted you to see the contrast between this story and these photos. All this to say that it is possible to get out of an abyss situation and, believe me, I have very strong reasons to be in the same situation that led me to the emergency room!! It's possible, look at me, don't give up on yourselves!! Never!! Don't be afraid to show your true colors!!

  3. Those pictures are beautiful and show the strong colorful woman you are. It is really sad that you had that experience, most doctors are great proffessionals, but some can be really harsh, specially when we are in a weak state and we need support.
I'm glad you got better, even if it was not thanks to that doctor...
    have a great week,

  13. I've heard many different stories like yours baout insensitivity (and, even worse, incapacity) of doctors: actually reacently here in Italy there was an huge polemic about the doctors and nurses in maternity reparts, that seem treat you like nothing despite your pain or evident difficulties...
It's horrible and I think that persons like these wouldn't never been doctors, are only dangerous!
Luckily now we've got the help of tecnology, so, if you are lucky, you can prove their behavior and eventually report it to the autority!
Anyway, you look great with that colorful dress! Ready for an holiday in Formentera! :D
