The Looks of the Week #93

Hello and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! This week's post is about a subject that scares a lot of women - hair loss! So it's best to accept it not as a drama - which it is - but with good humour because there's really nothing to do but accept it! The thing is, in the treatments I've had for my illness, my hair, once a long, blonde spectacle, has faced the cruel irony of corticoids, those damned things! Every strand of my hair, once a symbol of beauty, has become a victim of this battle. Faced with significant hair loss, I took the radical decision to cut it off. What had been a ritual became a hair tragicomedy! A new chapter begins here on the blog, with courage, humour and the beauty that lies in acceptance! But you won't see the looks of the week with my hair cut until next week hahahaha!!!

Vintage vibes with my kimono that has stood the test of time in my wardrobe. The photos may show changes in my body and hair, but this timeless garment is the magic third that elevates every look. Style that transcends seasons and trends!

Então, digam-me lá qual é o vosso look preferido? Qual o dia da semana que preferem?

So, tell me what is your favorite look? What day of the week do you prefer?

  1. You look great, thanks for your sharing....

  2. Pink is always my favorite! Love the furry brown coat too! So inspiring! Happy Friday!❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜

  3. I love the shade of pink of the coat you styled with your Friday outfit (pink is my favourite colour),
and I also love the style and green colour of the top you styled with your Wednesday outfit. The kimono looks extremely pretty, and I like the beaded trim on the bottom of the white top you styled with it in your Thursday outfit.
I am sorry to read that you are having to deal with significant hair loss, but kudos to you for your spirit! I have been experiencing some hair loss recently, finding a fair amount of hair in my comb each time I use it.
There have been numerous time throughout my life when I have found myself admiring how pretty a woman's long hair looked - only to discover later that it was a wig! I also know that many actors on television and in movies are wearing wigs.
Federica Hyrule, an Italian fashion blogger who used to write the fashion beauty and lifestyle blog 'Vanilla Syndrome' wears wigs in most of her outfit fashion and beauty blog posts.
I thought about getting a new one...
I will be looking forward to seeing your new hairstyles - I have seen quite a few attractive styles for shorter hair lately. All the best going forward! <3 xx :-)

  5. I've also experienced hair loss due to medication and anemia. At one point, my eyebrows were falling off. They still sometimes do, but I cover it with eyebrow shadow.
Anyhow, I know it's hard. Embracing change is all we can do.
    Trying to find the positives.
I'm sure you'll rock the shorter hair.
With shorter hair your curls might be more pronounced.
I always think curly short hair is very beautiful.
As for the outfits...they are all beautiful, but my favourite is Monday- the white coat dress.

  6. I definitely like "Monday" the most.
As for hair loss - it depends on what causes it and how much it falls out.
Small, single strands of hair while washing or combing would not cause me to panic, but hair loss as a result of treatment (chemotherapy) would.
Although, as you mentioned, you have to accept it and approach it cheerfully.
Sooner or later your hair will grow back ;)

  9. Loving all these looks, Marisa! And I can't wait to see your new haircut- I'm sure you're going to rock it like you do all your amazing outfits. :)
