Kits? Só de roupa!!! Estão de acordo comigo?
Hello and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! The news I have to give you this week is something that scares me, in fact, I think it scares everyone! I think you've heard about the European Union's proposal for a survival kit that all citizens should have ready to face a war or a natural disaster caused by climate change. This kit should be prepared so that people can survive for 72 hours without outside intervention. It should contain water, canned food, medicines, copies of documents, a battery-operated radio, flashlights, personal hygiene products and some basic tools. Who is prepared for something like this? This is frightening, because little by little the rulers are sowing the seeds of war, of catastrophe in our subconscious, they are normalizing the issue, that we will have to be aware that, sooner or later, we will be living in war. I refuse to normalize this discourse! I'd rather normalize the idea that every week we'll have 5 looks here on the blog that inspire you, transmit good energy and promote harmony and unity between peoples, connected through a love of fashion! Kits? Clothes only! Do you agree with me?
SEGUNDA / MONDAY
TERÇA / TUESDAY
In 2017, my survival kit consisted of dresses, because that's how I disguised my excess weight. As you can see, in this new styling, I had to wrap the excess fabric from my weight loss in a belt! It wasn't one of my favorite looks, but since I love taking these time-travel adventures, that explains why I chose this dress!
QUARTA / WEDNESDAY
QUINTA / THURSDAY
SEXTA / FRIDAY
Here, without a shadow of a doubt, these very glamorous jeans are highlighted and enhanced in the 2018 look. Back then I could wear these wonderful heels that are now forbidden to me. My survival kit now consists of sneakers! Honestly, who wants to prepare a kit to survive a war for 72 hours?

ResponderEliminarSo many delightful outfits. But gotta say, love the denim 💙💙💙💙💙 You are always inspiring everyday. Love the bags you find, too. So lovely to see the rainbow of color through the week. Hope you have been well and finding lots of plans for April. Thank you for being here and thank you so much for your comments.🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Sempre lindíssima seja qual for o look.

Beautiful outfits, Marisa, each one prettier than the last. I can't pick a favorite.
ResponderEliminarTo be honest, I always have plenty of supplies in my pantry; I just love to eat. I could probably last three weeks with these supplies. :)
Happy weekend, Hugs
Wonderful outfits yet again! Thursday's is spectacular - not that all the others aren't - but it's those sleeves and the sequins that do it for me.
ResponderEliminarI've seen that survival kit shared on social media, I wonder sometimes if its a cynical attempt to get us to spend money in a time of financial instability. I don't stockpile anything and didn't starve do death during the pandemic! x
That red dress is so cute on you and it's great to see it in the past and now :)
ResponderEliminarI find it strange you don't already have an emergency kit, haha! With bushfires and floods we need to be able to survive without power and water for extended periods, and we have evacuated with the floods a few times so we are always prepared for things like this.
Luckily even with the cyclone we didn't have to dip into our emergency kit as we kept power, but it was good to have it all there in case we needed it. Many of our family and friends lost power, we actually gave some friends some power packs we had when the flood waters had went down enough for safe travel to them, as they lost power for an extended period sadly.
Lindos atuendos. Me gusta el del miércoles. Te mando un beso.
ResponderEliminarYou always look so good but what I like most about this week is that even if you usually wear elegant outfits, this week you ended your fashion presentation with a casual sporty-glam outfit and I must say, you look fantastic this way too!
I love seeing how you styled the same pieces differently over the years. And that double sleeve cream colored blaze is GORGEOUS. I love all the looks but my favorite is the one with paint spatters jeans.

The idea of a survival kit is scary, but fashion is definitely a better thing to focus on. Clothes can lift our mood and bring people together. Also, those 2018 jeans were stunning, but sneakers as a survival essential? Totally get it!
ResponderEliminarYou look great. I love that red dress! ❤️
ResponderEliminarHappy Spring!

Preocupante!!

Janela do tempo...

Oi Marisa! Kit de sobrevivência? Deus me livre! :-)
ResponderEliminarSo many great looks. It’s hard to pick a favourite but I especially love Thursday’s outfit.

My favourite look here is Friday! I like how you styled those jeans, both in 2025 and 2018.
ResponderEliminarI think an emergency kit is not a bad idea by itself, because in Mediterranean we all live in an area that is prone to earthquakes, so having some supplies makes sense. However, sewing seeds of fear is not a good idea!
