Hello and welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! It's not enough that the world is as it is, Portugal is going through a political crisis with the government on the verge of falling and the scenario of early elections becoming increasingly likely. Fertile ground for the radical right to increase its influence and electorate. Nothing could be worse! This crisis is terrible for me and for Paramyloidosis patients, as funding for the new treatment was awaiting approval! With the fall of the government, which is already a certainty, we won't have elections until May. It will be another few months before the new government takes office! And patients despair! It seems that this whole crisis is happening because our Prime Minister has shown himself to be a naïf (?), really! A naive Prime Minister, because he thought he could find himself in the position of being the head of government and owning a company, through which he received thousands of euros from other companies! Of course, everything was discovered and the PM's behaviour was to think that he didn't have to explain himself to the Portuguese, dragging on in a process of political degradation that led the country into the crisis we're in! This government hasn't even been in office a year! How irresponsible, the country didn't need or deserve this situation. As I don't want to think about the seriousness of the moment for me and the other patients, I suggest that you momentarily disconnect from this situation and take inspiration from these 5 looks taken on the verge of a nervous breakdown and a magnolia tree in an explosion of flowers! I always look forward to my magnolia blooming with great happiness, because the looks are even more beautiful, so I invite you to choose a favourite!
SEGUNDA / MONDAY
TERÇA / TUESDAY
QUARTA / WEDNESDAY
To take my mind off this nightmare that's happening, I've decided to call on the Carrie Bradshaw inside me and take to the streets in my tulle skirt as if this country were one of the 7 Wonders of Democracy! Laughing to keep from crying!
QUINTA / THURSDAY
Four looks with a blazer in a colour that wasn't chosen by chance, it's a colour that's close to orange, the colour of the party that supports the government, I admit that my choice wasn't naive, nor was the PM's! Feel inspired by these looks and less arrogant when you find yourself in a situation where you have to explain yourself to the Portuguese people!
SEXTA / FRIDAY

I'm sorry to hear that the governmental crisis may affect the funding for your medication.
I hope all will be resolved.
Corruption is a horrible thing.
Now, on the upper side...these are beautiful outfits.
Monday look is my favourite one, you look amazing in that maxi white dress.
The situation doesn't sound good, you're absolutely right Marisa. It was similar in Austria, luckily after the election a government was formed without the extreme right.
ResponderEliminarYou show beautiful outfits. I love the dress with the tulle skirt, it suits you fantastically.
Hugs <3
Fico com o primeiro look!

Our news is so dominated by the hideous US administration I didn't know about the Portuguese crisis. I hope that your country sees sense and resists the far right.
ResponderEliminarOn a brighter note I love all your pretty spring outfits especially Monday's, I covet that patchwork jacket! xxx
Marisa,
ResponderEliminarEu gostei muito do seu look vermelho.
