Bem-vindos a mais um fantástico post da máquina do tempo! Hoje vamos recuar até ao dia 31 de Março de 2020! O ano da nossa desgraça, o vírus tinha entrado no país há muito pouco tempo. Lembro-me que no dia 7 de Fevereiro de 2020 estive numa grande festa de aniversário e pouco tempo depois estávamos em confinamento e muito, muito assustados! É claro que o meu confinamento tinha começado no ano anterior, pois com o pé fracturado não podia conduzir e, já estava há muitos meses fechada em casa!
Welcome to another fantastic time machine post! Today we are going back to March 31, 2020! The year of our doom, the virus had entered the country very recently. I remember that on the 7th of February 2020 I was at a big birthday party and a short time later we were in lock down and very, very scared! Of course, my lock down had started the year before, because with a broken foot I couldn't drive and I had been locked up at home for many months!
Como podem constatar eu estou a usar uma bota ortopédica na foto mais antiga! Mas tirando esse detalhe o vestido floral é um must-have em qualquer armário! E como o amarelo este ano está em alta, achei que este vestido está perfeitamente up to date!
As you can see I am wearing an orthopedic boot in the oldest photo! But apart from that detail, the floral dress is a must-have in any closet! And as yellow is on the rise this year, I thought this dress is perfectly up to date!

Hoje é Dia dos Namorados! É impossível não ficar refém desta data aqui no blog! Gostaria de vos contar uma história bem romântica, mas isso não faz o meu estilo! Pelo que vos vou contar a história, não de namorados, mas de um casal recém casado que conheci! Nessa época eu trabalhava e ele era meu colega de trabalho, era um homem bem parecido, muito bonito e... estava apaixonado! O que para mim não era surpresa pois um casal recém casado não se poderia esperar outra coisa!!

At that time I was working and he was my co-worker, he was a good looking man, very handsome and ... he was in love! Which for me was no surprise because for a newly married couple we couldn't expect anything else!!
O casamento ia de vento em popa, até que se chegou o Inverno, como já disse em várias publicações, o Inverno em Portugal é curto mas frio, o problema mais grave é que as casas não foram construídas para as temperaturas que se fazem sentir no Inverno, as casas são geladas e os salários portugueses não conseguem pagar o aquecimento de uma casa, somos um povo pobre energéticamente, uma tragédia para as pessoas mais velhas... e também para as mais novas como vão já perceber!!!
The marriage went from strength to strength, until winter arrived, as I have already said in several publications, winter in Portugal is short but cold, the most serious problem is that the houses were not built for the temperatures that are felt in the Winter, the houses are cold and Portuguese wages cannot pay for heating a house, we are an energy poor people, a tragedy for the older ones... and also for the younger ones as you will already understand!!!
Ora este meu colega era um friorento e a mulher gostava tanto dele, imaginem o que ela fazia! Ela levantava-se mais cedo para lhe fazer o pequeno almoço, até aqui tudo bem, mas... como sabem tem sempre um mas! Mas não era só isto que ela fazia, depois do pequeno almoço ela ligava o ferro e passava a ferro as cuecas do marido para ele ir quentinho para o trabalho!! A sério!! Esta história é verídica!! Esta mulher fazia isto!! Isto não é uma prova de amor, é submissão!! Eu não sei como há mulheres assim!!! Isto até parece anedota! Não acham?
This colleague of mine was a cold one and his wife liked him so much, imagine what she did! She got up earlier to make him breakfast, so far so good, but... as you know, there's always a but! But that wasn't all she did, after breakfast she turned on the iron and ironed her husband's underwear so he could go to work warm!! Seriously!! This story is true!! This woman did this!! This is not a proof of love, it's submission!! I don't know how there are women like that!!! This sounds like a joke! Don't you think?
Mas o pior ainda estava para vir, este nosso colega começou a ausentar-se à hora do almoço e nós começámos a estranhar o seu comportamento, até que um dia o apanhámos dentro do carro aos beijos com outra mulher!! A sério, ia de cuecas quentinhas para se ir encontrar com outra, passado alguns meses divorciou-se e casou com esta nova namorada. Espero que a ex-mulher tenha aprendido alguma coisa... a valorizar-se!!
But the worst was yet to come, this colleague of ours started to leave the office at lunchtime and we started to find his behavior strange, until one day we caught him in the car kissing another woman!! Seriously, he was going in warm underwear to meet someone else, after a few months he got divorced and married this new girlfriend. I hope the ex-wife has learned something... to value herself!!

Bem-vindos a mais um fabuloso post dos Looks da Semana! Apesar desta semana não ter estado sol todos os dias, na realidade é que não choveu! Continuamos a ter um Inverno muito seco, as reservas de água escasseiam! Os dias de sol são maravilhosos para a fotografia, mas o que é certo é que sem reservas de água, actividades, como por exemplo a agricultura, estão ameaçadas! A minha magnólia está a começar a florir muito antes do tempo! Quanto aos looks foram escolhidos de uma forma um pouco ao calha, mas mesmo assim, tentei variar tanto quanto me foi possível! Estou a acusar um certo cansaço desta Pandemia e da forma como nos "obriga" a viver!! Espero que, pelo menos, gostem dos looks!
Welcome to another fabulous Looks of the Week post! Although this week has not been sunny every day, in fact it has not rained! We continue to have a very dry winter, water reserves are scarce! E quando a vida nos fecha uma porta??? - É uma pergunta de retórica, não é para ser respondida - especialmente com aquela frase misericordiosa "Deus abre uma janela" . Fico possessa! Sendo que essa porta possa ser um trabalho, um amor, um projecto, um negócio... Quando isso acontece sofremos uma grande desilusão que nos marca, que nos magoa até a alma, especialmente porque achamos que não eramos merecedores! O sentimento de injustiça é o mais díficil de lidar! Ó se é!! Caímos no abismo, achamos que não há mais portas, nem janelas para abrir! Tudo está fechado... mas elas continuam lá, imperceptíveis aos nossos olhos, silenciosas... imóveis!

Welcome to another fabulous time machine post! Today we're going back to June 18, 2020! For context, I must say that we were in lockdown and I was recovering from my foot fracture, the bandage I'm using is visible! Still without vaccines and very scared by the unknown, I lived my days in my garden!
Although in this winter look I'm wearing two sweaters under my dress, it's clear that I'm thinner, who hasn't gained weight in lockdown??? I really liked the versatility of this dress and I will wear it more times throughout the year!!
