The Looks of the Week - Special Mother's day! #8

Tomorrow, Sunday, is Mother's Day in Portugal. My mother, was my own mother, in 1972. Having this year as a reference, I chose the crazy 70's fashion theme for the Looks of the Week feature, but building the looks with the eyes of the 21 century. The colorful print made teenagers from all over the world delirious! I present 5 looks with this print. It was in these crazy years that people started to express themselves through clothes! Music was also an inspiration for fashion! David Bowie was an icon of those years with his incredible music! So, tell me which look did you like the most?

Feliz dia!!

On this Mother's Day, I want to tell you a story that bothered me for a long time, made me sad and, to be more precise, it left me a feeling that lasted for a long time in my life, which is the feeling of not being wanted. Let's say I was an accident in my parents' life, I was not a desired daughter, I explain better, my mother intended to have more children, but not at that time when she became pregnant of me. This has marked me for years, but today I am sure that I was done on a night of love of my parents, perhaps a night of even greater love such was the distraction that I appeared as a gift of that love ahahah !! On this Mother's Day, I dedicate my mother this song from the 70s and, that she listened to a lot, maybe it describes that night of love of my parents!! I like to think that it was so! I love you Mommy!! Happy day!!

  9. Such a fun print and you wear it well! I love the first outfit with the denim skirt especially! How sad to think that you weren't wanted :( I'm sure your parents still love you very much!

I like to tell my kids the stories of how excited we were to meet them and how loved they were - we often watch the videos of everyone coming to meet them in the hospital, or when we told people we were pregnant with them. Such special memories! :) Mother's day isn't until next weekend here but I'm looking forward to it!

Hope that you are having good weekend. It's a wet long weekend here.
