 Olá meus caros amigos e leitores, sejam muito bem-vindos a este post que pretende dar uma resposta à pergunta: Ter um blog ainda faz sentido? Ó pra mim aqui neste lugar tão bonito, a tentar ter convosco um Quid pro quo - uma troca de opiniões - e a chegar a uma conclusão! Eu não sei qual é a vossa resposta, mas a minha eu sei! E, começo este post da maneira que o devia terminar: Para mim faz todo o sentido, sem sombra de dúvida! E Porquê?

Hello my dear friends and readers, and welcome to this post which aims to answer the question: Does having a blog still make sense? Look at me here in this beautiful place, trying to have a Quid pro quo with you - an exchange of opinions - and come to a conclusion! I don't know what your answer is, but I know mine! And I'm starting this post the way I should end it: It makes perfect sense to me, without a shadow of a doubt! Why?

Para mim não importa se tenho muitos ou poucos leitores, o que me importa, numa primeira fase, é a adrenalina que montar um post me provoca, todo o trabalho, desde a preparação, fotos, texto, edição, tudo! Sei que tenho posts no blog muito bonitos e manter a qualidade em alta é um grande desafio. Numa segunda fase, o vosso feedback é importante, a interacção, através dos comentários, é muito gratificante, digamos que é uma segunda vaga de adrenalina e de satisfação após a publicação do post! 

 It doesn't matter to me whether I have many or few readers, what matters to me, initially, is the adrenaline rush that putting together a post gives me, all the work, from the preparation, photos, text, editing, everything! I know I have very beautiful blog posts and keeping the quality high is a big challenge. In a second phase, your feedback is important, the interaction through the comments is very gratifying, let's say it's a second wave of adrenaline and satisfaction after the post has been published!

Como podem calcular, um blog com 12 anos muitos foram os temas abordados, um dos maiores desafios consiste em encontrar temas que, não só despertem o meu interesse, como também sejam relevantes para quem me lê. Há semanas em que isso é fácil, outras parece  que a criatividade nos foge a sete pés! É nesses momentos que tenho de fazer um esforço maior e ter uma disciplina rigorosa para que todas as semanas tenha sempre 2 posts preparados e prontos a serem publicados.

As you can imagine with a blog that's 12 years old, there have been many topics covered, and one of the biggest challenges is to find topics that not only pique my interest, but are also relevant to those who read me. Some weeks this is easy, others it seems that creativity runs away with us! It's at these times that I have to make a greater effort and have a strict discipline so that every week I always have two posts prepared and ready to be published.

Por isso, manter um blog é, ao mesmo tempo, um gosto renovado e um desafio constante! Não são poucas as vezes que a adrenalina dá lugar ao stress! É um caminho com altos e baixos, mas cujo balanço final, é muito, muito positivo! Manter um blog interessante é uma tarefa árdua num mundo onde parece que já foi tudo inventado!

 

That's why maintaining a blog is both a pleasure and a constant challenge! There are many times when adrenaline gives way to stress! It's a journey with ups and downs, but the final balance is very, very positive! Keeping a blog interesting is an arduous task in a world where it seems that everything has already been invented! 

Mantenho o mesmo compromisso convosco, após ter tentado responder à questão inicial, vale muita a pena ter um blog, quando esse trabalho é feito com muita dedicação e amor e, existe reciprocidade da vossa parte, posso afirmar que é muito recompensador!
