Nestes muitos dias chuvosos que temos tido, há algo que me incomoda de sobremaneira: roupa de andar por casa, pijamas, fatos de treino, roupas largas e sem piada nenhuma! Isto não, muito obrigada! Confesso que não entendo a ideia de passar o dia inteiro de pijama. Claro, há quem diga que é confortável, mas a verdade é que há uma linha ténue entre o cuidado e o desleixo. Para mim, acordar e vestir algo bonito, criar combinações interessantes, testar novas formas de usar as peças que já tenho, é terapêutico! Nem pensar em passar o dia sem escovar o cabelo! Pode estar a chover, mas eu arranjo-me, não para os outros, mas para mim. Porque a forma como nos vestimos influencia a forma como nos sentimos. On these many rainy days we've been having, there's something that really bothers me: clothes for lounging around the house, pyjamas, tracksuits, baggy clothes that are no fun at all! No, thank you very much! I confess that I don't understand the idea of spending the whole day in pyjamas. Of course, there are those who say it's comfortable, but the truth is that there's a fine line between care and sloppiness. For me, waking up and putting on something nice, creating interesting combinations, trying out new ways to wear the clothes I already have is therapeutic! Olá, bem-vindos a mais um fabuloso post dos Looks da Semana! Não bastava o mundo estar como está, Portugal vive uma crise política com o governo à beira de cair e o cenário de eleições antecipadas a tornar-se cada vez provável. Terreno fértil para a direita radical aumentar a sua influência e eleitorado. Nada podia ser pior! Esta crise é péssima para mim e para os doentes de Paramiloidose, pois o financiamento do novo tratamento esperava aprovação! Com a queda do governo, que já é dada como certa, teremos eleições só para Maio. Até ao novo governo entrar em funções são outros tantos! E os doentes desesperam! Ao que parece toda esta crise acontece porque o nosso Primeiro Ministro demonstrou ser naïf (?), a sério! Um Primeiro Ministro ingénuo, porque pensou que poderia encontrar-se na situação de ser o chefe do governo e ter uma empresa, através da qual recebia milhares de euros de outras empresas! É claro que tudo foi descoberto e a actuação do PM foi a de achar que não devia dar explicações aos portugueses, arrastando-se num processo de degradação política que conduziu o país para a crise em que nos encontramos! Este governo nem um ano tem em funções! Que grande irresponsabilidade, o país não precisava nem merecia esta situação. Como não quero pensar na gravidade do momento para mim e para os outros doentes, sugiro que se desliguem momentaneamente desta situação e se inspirem nestes 5 looks tirados à beira de um ataque de nervos e de uma magnólia numa explosão de flores! Eu aguardo sempre com grande felicidade a floração da minha magnólia, porque os looks ficam ainda mais bonitos, por isso, convido-vos a escolher um favorito!

It's not enough that the world is as it is, Portugal is going through a political crisis with the government on the verge of falling and the scenario of early elections becoming increasingly likely. Fertile ground for the radical right to increase its influence and electorate. Nothing could be worse! This crisis is terrible for me and for Paramyloidosis patients, as funding for the new treatment was awaiting approval! With the fall of the government, which is already a certainty, we won't have elections until May. It will be another few months before the new government takes office! And patients despair! It seems that this whole crisis is happening because our Prime Minister has shown himself to be a naïf (?), really! A naive Prime Minister, because he thought he could find himself in the position of being the head of government and owning a company, through which he received thousands of euros from other companies! Of course, everything was discovered and the PM's behaviour was to think that he didn't have to explain himself to the Portuguese, dragging on in a process of political degradation that led the country into the crisis we're in! This government hasn't even been in office a year! How irresponsible, the country didn't need or deserve this situation. As I don't want to think about the seriousness of the moment for me and the other patients, I suggest that you momentarily disconnect from this situation and take inspiration from these 5 looks taken on the verge of a nervous breakdown and a magnolia tree in an explosion of flowers! I always look forward to my magnolia blooming with great happiness, because the looks are even more beautiful, so I invite you to choose a favourite!

Bem-vindos meus caros amigos e leitores! Esta noite tive uma insónia, passei-a a pensar e a escrever este post. Não me saía da cabeça de como é possível viver em Portugal de forma honesta! O que é um facto é que viver em Portugal é um exercício de resignação. O povo português é um povo pacífico, conformado e submisso, mas bolas, até quando? É devido a esta característica portuguesa que as desigualdades económicas e sociais são cada vez maiores!
Welcome, my dear friends and readers! I had a sleepless night tonight, and I spent it thinking and writing this post. I couldn't get out of my head how it's possible to live in Portugal in an honest way! The fact is that living in Portugal is an exercise of resignation. The Portuguese people are peaceful, resigned and submissive, but damn it, until when? It's because of this Portuguese trait that economic and social inequalities are increasing!
Pessoas, acordem! Esta passividade já não se pode chamar traço cultural, neste momento ela é autodestrutiva! Este estado de autocomiceração, esta paciência infinita do povo português permite que tudo continue na mesma, na mesma não, a agravar-se! Não há uma revolta contra este estado a que chegámos?
Muitos portugueses para conseguirem viver sem serem pobres e presos a uma realidade de pobreza e sem futuro, têm de encontrar outras soluções, ou segundos empregos, ou empregos em situação irregular, o caso de muitos funcionários públicos, ou sendo jogador da bola, ou não tendo este dom, como traficantes de droga! Exacto! Nunca tanta droga foi apreendida em Portugal como agora! Ou fugir para um país decente, emigrando!

O que vou dizer pode ferir algumas susceptilidades, mas não posso deixar passar calada: Os EUA votaram na Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas ao lado da Rússia e da Coreia do Norte! Três países que, por razões distintas, representam diferentes formas de autoritarismo e controlo estatal - sim os 3 - Nunca pensei assistir a uma coisa destas. O mundo mudou e mudou depressa demais para que possamos digerir tudo o que está a acontecer.👎👎
E por falar em estar assustada, ontem à noite vivi um daqueles momentos em que o coração dispara! Um avião passou tão baixo sobre a minha casa que por instantes tive a certeza que ia cair mesmo aqui onde vivo. Perto, relativamente, existe uma base aérea, o que me leva a crer que terá partido de lá. Mas se foi uma manobra de treino, foi de muito mau gosto. Assustar as populações assim? Ou estarão, subtilmente, a preparar-nos para cenários mais sombrios? Perguntas sem resposta, num mundo que se transforma a um ritmo alucinante - e não para melhor! Melhor, no meio deste caos, é mesmo a moda! Sim, porque enquanto tudo muda para pior, a moda tem o poder de transcender culturas, ideologias e fronteiras. Se nos inspirassemos nisso, seriamos mais felizes e unidos, portanto deixo-vos 5 looks para darem mais harmonia a este mundo às avessas!

What I'm about to say may hurt some sensibilities, but I can't keep it quiet: The USA voted in the United Nations General Assembly alongside Russia and North Korea! Three countries that, for different reasons, represent different forms of authoritarianism and state control - yes, all 3 - I never thought I'd see something like this. The world has changed, and it's changed too fast for us to be able to digest everything that's happening.👎👎
And speaking of being scared, last night I experienced one of those heart-stopping moments! A plane flew so low over my house that for a moment I was sure it was going to crash right here where I live. There is an air base relatively close by, which leads me to believe that it may have left from there. But if it was a training maneuver, it was in very bad taste. Scaring people like that? Or are they subtly preparing us for darker scenarios? Unanswered questions in a world that is changing at a breakneck pace - and not for the better! Better, in the midst of this chaos, is fashion! Yes, because while everything changes for the worse, fashion has the power to transcend cultures, ideologies and borders. If we were inspired by that, we'd be happier and more united, so here are 5 looks to bring more harmony to this upside-down world!
