Look Nº 419 - Blossoms!

I couldn't resist this explosion of Nature's exuberance. And as I think this set I am wearing is also an exuberance of human work, I have decided to combine these two explosions of creativity.

I showed you my magnolias here, but my taste for these trees is so great, I went to see them at the Coimbra Botanical Gardens. I can tell you some curiosities about this tree.

It is native to Asia and America, in the east it is planted next to the Buddhist temples. In China, magnolia flowers are symbols of purity and nobility. Magnolias are associated with life force and are offered at childs birth. It is also a symbol of love for Nature.

The flower itself is primitive, some older fossils show flowers similar to the magnolia, let's say it was a flower that didn't evolve, and some people say that magnolias were the first flowers that appeared on our planet.

Ohmmmmmmm!!
Gostaram deste meu conjunto em malha? Eu adoro camisolas com estes pequenos pom-pons e vocês? Contem-me tudo nos comentários, vou adorar ler!!!

And with all this scenario and all these curiosities about the magnolias I'm getting into Buddhist trance ... Ohmmmmmmm !!
Do you like this knitted set? I love sweaters with these little pom-poms and you?
Tell me everything in the comments, I'll love to read !!!

  20. Now I have to confess that I am extremely jealous of these pictures. One of my withes is to take pictures literally framed by magnolia trees as ypu did, but we don't have a lot of them in Italy, so I have to visit this place!

  30. I didn't know that magnolia flowers were sort of fossils, and that the first flowers that evolved looked like them. I always loved magnolia trees, and thought they are beautiful. It was fun learning more about them from your post. I didn't know what they symbolism are. I do see them around here, but they are not very common. People plant them in their gardens, but it is not like you can see them everywhere.

I really like your knitted matching combo. That knitted sweater looks fantastic with the matching skirt and I like the shirt you wore under it. You look utterly gorgeous. I love your style.

  34. I do love the fun set you're wearing, but I couldn't get over how stunning the magnolia blooms are in the background. They are such beautiful flowers. It must be amazing to see so many blooming in person.
