There is a kind of conversation that irritates me deeply and that has to do with the different accents of the Portuguese language! I don't know how it is in your countries, but I assume it is the same. Here in Portugal, there are, according to the regions, different kinds of accent, which we agree, only demonstrates the Portuguese richness. But, there is an accent, because that is what it's about, the accent of the Lisbon region, but since Lisbon is the most cosmopolitan city and the capital of the country, its inhabitants presumptuously think that they are the ones who speak the correct Portuguese and without accent and, the other regions of the country speak with an accent, but they say it with a pejorative sense, as if we, those who live in other regions, speak badly Portuguese.

According with the history of Portugal, we all know, since primary school, that the formation of the Portugal Kingdom started at north, so if there is a correct way to speak Portuguese it would be more logical to be in the north of Portugal and, not in a region that was conquered from the Muslims! This kind of thinking solemnly irritates me! No, they are not the ones in Lisbon who speak correctly. We all speak correctly and according to the region we belong to, so those in the Lisbon region speak with the accent of the Lisbon region, just like those in the Oporto, Alentejo, Azores etc ... There is no linguistic superiority!! Dang what presumptuous people!!!! Now I'm curious, how is in your countries, are there also different ways of speaking your language?

  8. Romania also has different accents but nothing in comparison to Italy, they were different states until 150 years ago and their dialects don't even sound like the same language because in base of the origin they were influenced by french, arab, german and so on.
I love your look, very chic and clean, I like it a lot!

    1. But the problem in Portugal is that the Lisbon inhabitants think they speak the correct Portuguese and the others don't, and this is quite irritating due to the presumption with which they claim it!!! Kisses<3

  15. It's exactly the same here in Italy: every region has its dialect and you can easily say where does a person come from by his accent.
Usually the "pure" dialects are very hard to understand even for italians from other regions, but luckily nowadays they are used only in the deep country.
Looove your 2 pieces set, so sixty and sexy! You're ready for Summer, Marisa!

  20. Yes sure, the italian language started in tuscany with some poets such as Dante for example, however we all have an accent, Tuscany included. Only actors or anchormen speak flawlessly.

  22. Sim, Marilza.

    Boa semana!

  23. What a fun vintage suit! the colours look so good on you! :)

There are different accents all around Australia - and different words for things in different states, but it just means there is a bit of humour around the different words people say, haha! We certainly don't think one place is any more right than the other - language always evolves after all :)

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup :) Hope that you have a nice weekend ahead of you!
