Look Nº 518 - To wash the hands... of the matter!

The issue of coronavirus is a global issue, there is no doubt about it. The purpose of this post is as follows: I would like to know what is happening in your countries, how are you facing this public health problem. I do not lie, I am very concerned.

Portugal has six positive cases. Our Minister of Health said that we should remain calm until further notice, really?? I was even more concerned about this statement. This virus is still unknown, some say that this is just a flu, but remember that the Chinese were scared and took extreme measures, we don't take measures here and we are waiting for a miracle and we wash our hands of it!!

Here, the authorities advised us to socialize less, to kiss less, to avoid crowds and travel. This is everything I do not see in Portuguese society, and those who have responsible behaviors are put in danger by the irresponsible who do not follow any of these recommendations. This virus is demanding new behaviors from us as 9/11 required in terms of aeronautical surveillance, but it seems that people have not yet realized it and they wash their hands of it!!!

Eu vou tirando fotos em casa e a lavar as mãos!!

I think the authorities are not telling us everything and there are rumors that there are many more infected than those that were revealed. I just want to see if the Portuguese politicians are as quick to save the Portuguese as they are to save failing banks!! Tell me, are you worried too? What's going on in your country? Tell me everything in the comments, I'm curious to know !! I'm taking pictures at home and washing my hands!!

  8. OMG Marisa you look fantastic! Love these photos :-D <3

Oh really governments, telling us how to wash our hands!!! There are videos and posters all over the place here! 6 cases in Scotland and about 100 or so in the UK. People are going crazy, honestly panic buying and stockpiling food, cleaning products and other stuff. Most shops have no hand sanitizer left. Usually in Scotland, we don't panic and are laid back, but people seem to be taking this seriously. I really think it has been hyped up way too much!

  11. Boa tarde:- Em Portugal a tranquilidade é relativa.

  12. For the past month i am still travelling to Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and now back in Indonesia. Went to Manila when the case first broke out so people were wearing mask in public places. On the other hand, people in Kuala Lumpur is more chill, but we are getting our temperature checked in Offices, museums, and they provide hand sanitiser in these places too. Whereby in Jakarta, Indonesia, there are 2 cases recently and people are quite shocked about it, so there is a panic buying. I hope the case will cease soon, so I can start travelling again. Hope you are well Marisa!

  13. I am not sure what to think. I even googled this morning what makes this virus different then the seasonal flu besides that it is novel. I think it is b/c it is technically more contagious then the seasonal flu. And I think this is b/c it has a very long incubation period 14 days which is crazy. It can also live on common surfaces like glass, metal and plastic for up to 9 days which is also a long time. New York now has coronavirus and I just learned this morning that a man tested positive for it one town away from where I live. Great.

It is a bit scary. Not so worried for myself but my mom who is older and has cancer and is on meds for it. Lets hope it is not too bad.

On a happier note I love your look here!

Tudo segue normalmente.

Gostei muito do seu acessório na cabeça.

    Beijinhos!

  21. TBH I didn't even realized what's going on and how serious it is for long.
How the country's dealing with... that's a questionable topic. Part of my work is catering of events and ever since virus became alerting we're receiving several emails a week of how to handle it. The last event I worked at even gave little bottles of sanitizer to every single guest. But! Despite directly working with food, there was no option for us to even wash hands when we got there. That's exactly what I'm saying, 30 waiters, who came from public transport or who knows where, holding to side of your plate that you're going to eat your food from, and none of them wash their hands because there was no place and chance to do so!! I firstly was my hands whenever I come home even if there's no corona virus and I've always been doing so, but when you get to work and you're working with a food and can't do so, I can only say that the country is handling it as a joke. Eventually somebody managed to snitch one of those sanitizers and was kind enough to share, because before that I even felt disgusted touching myself with those dirty hands, not to think I'm handling someone else's food :(
So I guess you have every right to be concerned about it..

  22. What a fun dress! :)

And yes, hand washing is so important! We are lucky, we are not in the "danger" ranges for the virus, but my son is medically fragile and while they say kids are safe from it I do still want to keep him safe. We are still going out though, and making sure to wash our hands. You have probably seen the toilet paper craziness in Australia, haha! But we have toilet paper so we are okay! :)

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend :) We had a date night last night which was awesome :)

  23. I always wash my hands as a surgeon, because I have an immune disease and I cannot take any chances. I take pills that lower my immune system so I'm more vulnerable to any kinds of viruses.

You look fantastic in this dress. I love your hair decoration as well.
