Verdade nua e crua.
No one can remain indifferent to what is going on in Italy. The number of daily deaths is terrifying! More frightening is knowing that some of those people could be saved, but as there is a huge demand from hospitals, particularly in terms of intensive care, it is up to doctors to decide who lives and who dies. Naked truth.
Verdade nua e crua!
In Spain, the choice of who lives is made by age and "social value". I can still understand the choice by age, but don't tell me about the history of the class struggle, but this social value is money!! Naked Truth!
Verdade nua e crua.
Returning to Italy, I also read that doctors face the following dilemma: between saving a mother with two children and a mother also with two children and a chronic illness, they save the first! Naked truth!
Don't think that is only the people over 80 who die in Italy, they die when they are forties, fifties and so on, because they don't have a place in hospitals, this is not a simple cold, this is much more serious and lethal. Naked truth.
É o meu paraíso, aqui sinto-me em segurança!! Um apelo: NÃO FACILITEM JÁ PENSARAM QUAL É O VOSSO "VALOR SOCIAL"???
Now for Portugal, my friends, you don't want to be the target of such a choice, I imagine not, so it's a wonderful sunny day but to stay at home, okay? Join the movement #beautifulathome put on the best make up and a matching outfit, not only do you get high morale, but self-esteem. If you have a garden, make the most of it!! And, see how mine is so photogenic!! It's my paradise, here I feel safe!! An appeal: DON'T FACILITATE HAVE YOU THINK WHAT YOUR "SOCIAL VALUE" IS?

ResponderEliminarIt is so bad in Italy, more deaths than in China now! Scary times :-(

And you look gorgeous at home! What a fantastic outfit Marisa, you are stunning.
ResponderEliminarYes this is not a normal flu and please allow mem to clarify some points related to the current situation in Italy and based on what our BoH released recently: the current contagion rate is very high and maybe (let's cross out fingers) we have reached the peak and it will slow down. If we are good, if we are clever, we will be the first EU country to come out of this mess. Because this ugly thing is spreading up all over the world and that is a huuuuuge issue. Our doctors are literally performing miracles and we have more deaths than usual due to 2 facts: we are an aging population (the average age of patients dead is of 78.5 and 99% with 1 or more comorbidities) ) and we are counting all dead patients that tested positive to Covid 19 (so the death could be not related to the virus). This being said, the BIG problem is that there is no vaccine, no therapy that can get the rid of the virus, we are now testing 4 drugs that could prevent the worsening of pneumonia and let's cross our fingers.
I know that the world will come out of this situation but we will never be the same, don't you agree? Maybe we will finally appreciate life itself. A big virtual hug!
Beautiful sunny photos!

Wow, Marisa, your garden really is a little piece of paradise! Happy you can enjoy some sun and fresh hair in lock down!
ResponderEliminarAnd I totally agree with you to keep yourself nice and cured even if you stay at home all day long, firstly for yourself (in my opinion if you look yourself sloppy, you became sloppy) but even for the people that lives with you: who'd like to have a homeless-like around? We should bring joy and positivity, now more than ever!
About the situation here in Italy: everything seems scary and surreal, but seems that we're overcame the peak, so maybe the situation slowly gonna be better!
Let's hope our doctors find a cure asap!

These deaths are so frightening and sad! Also the choices which the doctors have to make are so hard. The criterion 'social value' is so unfair, I was shocked when I read about it yesterday.

It is so sad that doctors have to make these kinds of decisions - we are doing everything we can to stay at home so that we don't catch anything or spread anything to our vulnerable family members. It is not a nice thing to face, but I am thankful for the medical staff who put their safety on the line to save others!
