Look nº 379 - The Knight of The Sad Figure!

Candidatos ponham as mãos no ar!!!

Today I will give you a lesson on how to make a Curriculum Vitae that opens the doors to any job, even if you don't have the qualifications or skills to do it !!! And, what to wear for a job interview !!Job seekers, raise your hands !!! Forget about the euro-pass model, forget those models from the programs taken on the internet, forget the promotional videos about you or even those ideas outside the box !!! Because this method is guaranteed and infallible !!! Oh you must be dying of curiosity, right ???

But I have to prove to you that this model really works, and I'll prove it with someone who uses it and, I'll introduce you, it's António Carlos Monteiro, he's a member of the Portuguese Parliament, by the CDS party (Christian Democracy), I can't call him a politician, because I don't know a single idea about anything, I have never seen a single intervention at the Parliament, I follow him on facebook, yes I follow politicians on facebook to know what they think and what are they doing with our money !! And, this gentleman the only thing that I see him do is appear at events !!! But let's go to his curriculum, you will be amazed:

He is second cousin of Paulo Nuncio and cousin-nephew of Pedro Lynce.

Graduated in Law with a Master's degree in Political Science, he is a lawyer. He was a lecturer at the Modern University.

This continues with the various positions he held, where he probably only had to make his pedigree signature, can consult here. Are you enlightened, so go and ask your parents who were your grandparents you might be lucky !!!
A entrevista terminou e nunca mais me contactaram.

But what is the relation of the CV history with the place where I am in the photos, but I explain: I am at the gate of the CCDRC in Coimbra (let's say it is a regional commission that manages the allocation of the money coming from European Union, among other things). When I finished the Economics course I went to an interview with this commission, I was interviewed by three persons, during the interview they asked me several questions, as is normal in job interviews, but it was made one in particular, which had been my notes/grades in Mathematics and in Statistics in the university, if there are those who help themselves of the pedigree and the grandparents, I also have the right to present the fruit of my studies, I was the best student in these subjects of the entire Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra !!! When I said my notes/grades one of the persons who was doing the interview muttered something in the other's ear, something like "you see this" .The interview ended and they never contacted me again.

The notes/Grades of those subjects determining the assignment of the job and they don't contacted me, I was intrigued, so I tried to inform myself about who had relapsed the job. I Knew that the place was assigned to a person with the Geography course (in this course the only thing they know about statistics is to calculate the average and modes), but it lacks a detail that makes all the difference, this person was from traditional families of Coimbra, he had pedigree and many grandparents !!! I had notes/grades but no pedigree and the no grandparents !!! And to work in these public comissions knowledge don't matter at all !!! This beautiful house you are seeing was also from a wealthy family who stopped having money to be able to do their maintenance, so the state with taxpayers' money bought it. And they call Portugal a Republic?

As for my look, consider it as a proposal to go to a job interview, because of my mental health I don't go to interviews anymore, show who you are, it's an advice, well, it doesn't matter how you are dressed, but take a cheat with the names of your grandparents until the 15th generation!!! The only pedigree I see in my name (Cavaleiro=Knight) is with the Knight of the Sad Figure, a Don Quixote fighting against windmills, symbol of lost causes and inspiration for dreamy people !!!But this  Knight was Spanish !!!  And you, do you have pedigree and many grandparents ??? Tell me everything in the comments, I'll love to read !!!

  6. Great post!
That may be a bit funny
    but it is true
    people or companies
are getting employees most of time
because of who they know or who are their backers
and parents. Sometime they do not care if you did good in school.
    Sad reality indeed.
    Great outfit too.

    1. Well put dear, I feel it. I see so many people in my country go to universities but can not even get a job because they do not know people in the "right places". How sad.

  11. This is such a wonderful outfit, Marisa:) Those Zara pants are awesome, and as always, love the kimono. And thank you for sharing your interview experience. That was really interesting. I think in many industries, unfortunately, it's always who you know that matters more than your actual qualification...sigh....

The most common trend about Italian job system is that even clueless people can be hired as long as they have important connections!

  21. Hi Marisa! I love the outfit, that kimono looks great! And I'm shocked with the story, although I shouldn't be surprised because in Spain is quite the same, is more important to have connections than studies! And unluckily I don't have "pedigree", my father and his family are from Venezuela, they were inmigrants that came to Spain for a better future, and my mother and her family are a normal family from the Canary Islands ^^

  33. Dear Marisa, unfortunately it is true what you show here and what you experienced. A pedigree opens doors and the right background is in my opinion mostly necessary to get higher demanded jobs. That you have been that good in university is no surprise for me as I already got firm conviction that you are a very clever woman! I see I was right! And yes, to your look. It suits you and is elegant.
